Employment of disabled people - how realistic it is

Legislatively, the employment of disabled persons provides for the following duties for the employer:

- to allocate or create the necessary number of jobs for people with disabilities;

- create the necessary working conditions, according to the individual rehabilitation program (IRP), for each disabled person;

- in a timely manner, provide the information that is needed to organize the employment of people with disabilities.

If a person is refused employment only because he is disabled, then this is a direct violation of the law, which entails an administrative fine imposed on officials. Such a fine can not be imposed on those employers who will prove that they did not take the disabled person to work solely because of the discrepancy of his business qualities.

Work for disabled people in Moscow and other large cities is more real than in a small town or district center.
