Embedded Technique Or Ordinary?

Recently, the built-in kitchen appliances began to be in great demand. Let's try to figure out why?

1. Cooker or built-in oven and hob.

Undoubtedly, the most popular are built-in hobs and ovens. Together they have the same functionality as the classical plate. But there are a number of differences. You can try to identify them yourself, but you can on the basis of someone else's advice and mistakes. To help a little in this matter, we wrote this article.

When we wrote it, we tried to show everything as simply and habitually as possible: specially chosen pictures, which depicts the most simple cuisine, no frills and expensive designer delights. Such a set can appear in any of our kitchens, that's why it is more practical to perceive such photos from the practical point of view.

So it looks like an ordinary stove in the kitchen:

As you can see, it immediately stands out from the general series of floor cupboards. It will not be possible to create a single table-top. Such a plate often has a width of 50 cm, which is a plus next to the standard size of the cabinet for a built in oven of 60 cm. Now compare with the built-in technique:

It is immediately noticeable that the technique is striking considerably less. And, not only because of the fact that the first photo plate is white, but not here. Just do not break the surface of the countertop and the bottom of the headset, so the glance slides over them, not clinging to any protrusions and tears. Typically, this set takes up a width (along with the cabinet) 60 centimeters. 10 centimeters more for a more pleasant appearance. This is the standard for the vast majority of ovens.

If these 10 centimeters are critical for you in the battle for every inch of the kitchen of modest size, then perhaps it is worth abandoning the oven. Or do not even put it at all. By how you can save space will be written in another our article.

Let's return to the construction: on the second photo on the right below there is a niche with the microwave oven installed. She breaks out of the general background, forcing her eyes to cling to her. You can close this part of the image for the sake of experiment and estimate the look without it.

Another plus of the built-in appliances (the same oven) is a flat design. The front panel is flush with the facades of the kitchen, whereas in the conventional plate the lower part can be slightly recessed. By the way, it is in this space under the oven is often installed drawer, in which you can store baking sheets and a few other utensils.

In addition to the flat front panel, the appearance is usually laconic and simple, which does not strain the look.

But consider the pluses of the conventional plate. Smaller width. Lower cost. Usually times 1.5. Simple maintenance: advanced, disconnected-connected (which is not often done), no special locker is required, in which it must be installed.

In general, we will not torture you further with a letter and try to generalize:

Plate:

+ Price

+ Dimensions (50 centimeters wide by 60)

+ Does not require complex installation

+ No additional furniture needed

- not so attractive in terms of appearance

- garbage can be hammered for it and on the sides

Built-in:

+ Possibility to use only a hob or oven

+ The oven can be installed separately, for example, in a high pencil case

+ Looks nicer

+ Garbage will not be clogged between the stove and adjacent lockers or behind

+ The opportunity to win immediately 30 cm countertops, putting the surface with a pair of hotplates

+ Does not require such care as a simple stove - garbage has nowhere to hide

- kit price above

- connection (in the case of the gas version) is more expensive 2 times

- you need special furniture for embedding

On this we finish the plates and move on to the point:

2. Extractor: built-in or not?

There are quite a few different types of hoods: built-in, dome, modern, standard, classic, premium, island, corner, etc. etc. For all these types, we'll talk in other articles, here we will only consider the subdivision on the embedded and not. As always, for clarity, immediately to the pictures:

On our site there is already an article "Built-in hood - what is this?", So we will answer immediately in brief. But first the picture of the competitor

And at once to comparison:

Built in extractor fan:

+ Price

+ Minimum dimensions

+ Technology of low visibility :)

- minimal functional (although the function of the hood is 100% realized)

Extraction of another type:

+ Is an interesting element of kitchen design

+ Rich functional (all kinds of smart functions, control panels, etc.)

+ High performance

- price

- Dimensions

The most popular model in Russia Krona Kamilla

Another type, close to the built-in, are standard hoods:

Having dealt with the hoods, go to the point (built-in appliances):

3. Dishwasher: embedded or left on display?

Here everything is much simpler: usually dishwashers do not differ significantly in terms of dimensions. If, for example, a stove is easy enough to install in the kitchen center (to make an island), just by putting electricity on the repair stage, then bringing the water supply will not be so easy. If you do not have a separate niche for installing the dishwasher, it will be an element of the kitchen set. You can see by analogy with the plate in paragraph 1, as it may look. If the kitchen does not match the color of the front panel of the car (and this is most of the cases), then the latter will stand out. The facade is installed on the door and it becomes completely invisible:

Conclusion:

The usual dishwasher:

+ Price

+ Availability of control at any time

+ Does not require special furniture for installation

+ Visible

Built-in dishwasher:

+ Completely invisible

+ Cabinet for embedded equipment will additionally (even though it's quite a bit) to damp the noise of the working device

- price

- control is only available when the lid is open
