Easel for drawing

Since the cave painting, moved to a more convenient mediums of drawing (cardboard, paper, canvas), there was a need for their fastening in a suitable position for the work of the artist. The basis, for the performance of the creative process by the artist, must be in a vertical plane or slightly under the slope to it. In order to place the stretchers with a stretched canvas, tablets with paper or cardboard, a stand was designed for them, called by the inhabitants of Germany - an easel. The easel for drawing gives some advantages over other ways of placing the canvas, namely:

- The canvas for drawing is securely fixed, and this excludes its falling and spoilage;

- a stretcher with a canvas can be installed at a convenient height for creativity, both standing and sitting;

- adjustment of the canvas location along the height, which creates the convenience for detailed study of the pattern, both in the lower and upper part of the canvas;

- Adjustment of the angle of inclination, which makes it possible to optimally choose the illumination parameters of the canvas;

The most common in the design are easel easels, which are used by artists to work with large canvases, they have the appearance of two interconnected frames - the lower and upper. The frame, which is located below, is a supporting frame, and is made of a sufficiently strong material to ensure the stability of the entire structure. In order that such an easel for drawing was convenient to move around the art workshop, the lower frame is placed on the fixed wheel supports. On the upper frame for fixing the subframe with the canvas are installed special elements for fixing - the slider, the tray and the guide rod. Such an easel for drawing has all modern devices for moving it through the art workshop and fixing the canvas in a steady state. If the size of the product is twice the width of the upper frame, you need to use an additional easel.

In order to transfer the process of creativity from the art workshop to nature, etudes (portable easels) are very popular. Structurally this easel for drawing looks like a box of small sizes, divided into two halves, which are connected by ordinary loops. In the unfolded state, one half of the box serves for paints and brushes, and in the second half the bearer of future creative work (paper, cardboard, small stretcher with canvas) is attached.

Basically, for a long time, easels were made of wood. This natural material, beautiful and clean in an ecological sense, thanks to its properties, always inspired the creative person for unsurpassed masterpieces of painting, despite the wide variety of easels made of plastic and metal. Most often, an easel for drawing is made of such types of wood as: birch, larch, pine, beech, less often from ash or oak. With real collectors of antique things, you can find an easel for drawing, made of mahogany or walnut, that have a unique shape and exquisite finish.

We all know very well how children are drawn to drawing, especially at the age when the world around them begins to be known. All of them with great pleasure draw their relatives (father with mother, brothers and sisters), beloved fluffy kitten or dog, houses and cars, sun and sky. Drawings of children not only bring joy to their parents, but even more give pleasure to themselves, because once again, creating their masterpiece, they set out their desires and thoughts. In order to develop in the child the ability to draw, he urgently needs a good place to work, and the availability of the tools and tools that he needs for creativity. And in this list the first place should be a children's easel for drawing, which the young artist simply needs.
