Drainage wells: application and varieties

Drainage wells are designed to provide access to storm sewage and household systems. The innovative structure of buildings represents a worthy replacement for concrete products, having a lower cost and higher durability. In addition, the maintenance costs of the system are reduced. Drainage wells provide access to sewage non-pressure networks for their maintenance, creating additional connections and changing the flow path.

Drainage water intake wells are designed to collect water from parking lots, roads and other surfaces. Devices are supplied with a sedimentary section, where garbage and sand accumulate, as well as an outlet for drainage of rainwater into sewerage systems. For example, the system of plastic wells of the company Pipelife is produced. The main feature of this model is its composite structure.

Distinguish the following types of drainage wells.

Rotary valves are designed for periodic cleaning of the system with the help of water pressure. Such wells are mounted usually on every second turn of the system, or in places where the drainage pipes converge. Thanks to this, it is possible to reach the drainage and supply sections of pipes at the same time with convenience. Rotary systems have various sizes: from small ones, which are designed for washing pipes, and to large ones, allowing to descend to the person inside for the purpose of prevention and inspection.

Inspection drainage wells create conditions for monitoring the condition of drainage systems. Devices are created with dimensions that allow you to easily get inside and directly study the status of the system, as well as to eliminate all malfunctions. Inspection structures can be combined with other systems. However, their use is not always required.

Absorption drainage wells are constructed in drained areas in cases where there is no possibility of draining water into the main sewage system or other catchment areas. This system has a simple design. The device is a container in the form of a pipe, which has a diameter of about one and a half and a depth of at least two meters. It is covered with boiler slag, gravel, broken brick or gravel, which is covered with geotextiles on top and laid with soil. Similarly, fill the outside walls and bottom of the well. The water from the absorption device naturally leaves on the lower horizons of the soil.

Another type of drainage systems are water intake wells. They serve to collect moisture from the soil, if there are no spillway places nearby, and it is impossible to locate the absorber due to technical reasons because of the high groundwater table or inappropriate soil type. For the operation of the water intake wells, drainage pumps are used, with the help of which the water is pumped out. Water intake wells represent a structure in the form of a pipe, ending with a bottom, covered with geotextiles and sprinkling.
