Do you know how to make bonsai from beads with your own hands?

Bonsai is a miniature (dwarfish) tree. In this article I will talk about how to make bonsai from beads with your own hands.

What is necessary for manufacturing

To create this masterpiece, we need to stock up the following materials:
• about 200 gr. Green beads, necessarily monophonic;
• about 50 gr. Beads of various shades of green (light, dark), you can even with mother of pearl and glitter, the main thing is that the additional beads combined with the main one;
• a coil of copper wire with a cross-sectional diameter of 0.3 mm;
• a coil of aluminum wire with a diameter of 2-5 mm;
• two coils of thread, which are used for embroidery, such as "Mulino", is better than brown;
• a pair of small coils of regular adhesive plaster;
• Packing gypsum - 1 kg (this amount is enough for the next few trees);
• black and brown gouache;
• colorless varnish;
• decorative pot;
• pebbles and other materials for decorating the pot.

You will also need the following tools:
• container for beads;
• scissors and a knife;
• Pliers;
• Brushes for drawing large and small diameters.

Getting Started

Now that everything is ready, you can start making bonsai from beads with your own hands. Before starting work, pour all the beads in a convenient container so that it mixes. Below is a master class on how to properly make bonsai from beads (step by step).

Step 1

To form the first-order twigs, we begin to string the beads onto the copper wire. I recommend immediately strung about 60 cm beads (wire from the skein not cut off). 15 cm from the beginning of the retreat and begin to make the first leaf, for this, from all the strung beads, we remove 7 beads and twist them into a loop, turning several times. So do 8 leaves and only then cut off the tip of the branch from the total skein, while missing 15 cm. The tips are twisted together, forming the base of a branch 5 cm long, straightening the leaves. Repeat this process until the entire beads are exhausted (250-300 branches should be obtained).

Step 2

Now proceed to the formation of twigs of the second order. To do this, the 3 previously made twigs are twisted together and wrapped with threads (5 cm), while about 4 mm of the wire from the leaves should be left. You can wrap three at a time, and you can add one at a time.

Step 3

From twigs of the second order we form branches of the third order, connecting three or four branches together. And finally, we form the largest branches, of which our tree will consist. To do this, we join the three middle branches together in the same way as before.

Step 4

We prepare the skeleton of the future tree from a thick wire. Its height varies from 30 to 35 centimeters. Next, we attach the largest branches to the branches of the frame, trolling them with the usual adhesive plaster. To ensure that the gypsum adheres well to the frame, it is impossible to wrap the branches with tape or tape, but only with an adhesive plaster. Otherwise, with a neat trunk, no bonsai made of beads, made by hand, will not work.

Step 5

After attaching the branches, the frame is placed in a pot and filled with gypsum. After solidifying the gypsum in the pot, make a tree trunk, coating the frame and twigs with a solution of gypsum. The trunk and branches are neatly covered with brown paint and make thin vertical smears along the trunk of the whole tree with black gouache. The tree is almost ready!

Weaving with bonsai beads (master class) is over. We will do the decorating of the ground (here it is a matter of fantasy) and finally we cover the tree trunk and the ground with varnish.
That's how you can try to make beautiful and branched bonsai from beads with your own hands, without resorting to outside help.
