Dermatitis in children is diagnosed quite often, and medicine knows several forms of this disease. After all, the child's skin is very tender and capable of reacting sharply to any form of external and internal influence.

Dermatitis in children: causes

There are many reasons for the development of such a disease:

  • Genetic heredity (when one of the parents is prone to allergic diseases);
  • Incorrect feeding;
  • Neglect of infant hygiene rules;
  • Acceptance of a number of medications;
  • Infectious diseases, inflammations;
  • Disturbances in the digestive tract;

There are a few less common factors that can cause a reaction from the skin.

Dermatitis in children: varieties and characteristics

There are several forms of the disease, which differ in symptoms and causes.

Pediatric dermatitis in children is a fairly common form, even though diapers are not used so often. As a rule, this form of dermatitis is manifested by redness and a small rash in the groin, on the inner side of the thighs and on the buttocks, in a word in those places where the skin comes into contact with the diaper. Redness occurs as a result of friction of the diaper, as well as excessive moisture that forms under it.

But there is another reason - the impact of chemicals. Typically, a similar disease develops at the age of 7 to 12 months. It is during this period that a profound change in the baby's diet begins - he is injected with lures in the form of soups, hard foods, fruits, etc. Some products of metabolism, standing out together with feces and urine, irritate the delicate skin of the baby.

There is one more danger - the affected skin, high temperature and humidity under the diaper creates ideal conditions for reproduction of fungi. In this case, the rash becomes more intense. Over time, small pustules form on the skin.

Atopic dermatitis in children is a form of hereditary disease. As a rule, the disease is associated with food allergy. In this case, dry redness appears on different areas of the baby's skin. Such areas are constantly flaky. From time to time, small watery bubbles appear. The kid suffers from constant, severe itching. Quite often as a concomitant disease is intestinal dysbiosis and other disorders in the intestinal tract. In most cases, the disease passes by itself with age.

Seborrheic dermatitis in children is a disease of fungal origin, in which the skin on the scalp of the baby is affected. At the same time on the skin are quite noticeable small greasy crusts of characteristic yellow color. The same structures can be formed on the neck, the auricles, under the armpits and in the groin folds. And although the disease does not bring any discomfort to the child, you should immediately contact the pediatrician, as possible the development of a bacterial infection.

Contact dermatitis is a non-hazardous form of the disease, which is manifested by irritation, reddening of the skin with constant interaction with certain objects, for example, a seam from the panties or a strap of the watch. Treatment is not required here - you just need to eliminate the contact.

Dermatitis in children: treatment

The methods of treating skin diseases directly depend on their cause and variety. But in each individual case, the skin of the baby needs constant and thorough care. For example, in infancy, daily baths with decoctions of chamomile or succession. If redness occurs in the groin, then try to leave the baby as long as possible without a diaper - air baths are needed. If dermatitis is a reaction to a group of foodstuffs, then it is worth abandoning them. Children who are prone to allergic rashes need a hypoallergenic diet. And, of course, you need to follow the instructions of the attending physician.
