The company "Casio" for several years now produces a watch with a digital compass, which precisely indicates 16 directions.

The basis of the digital Japanese compass is a magnetic sensor, with two perpendicular turns and a magnetic resistance device between them. Under the influence of the Earth's magnetic field, the resistance changes, signals of electric voltage are formed. These signals process and transmit a microprocessor to the display.

In the spring of 2013, "Casio" also released a new model of "G-Shock". A watch with a compass, the full name of which is defined by the index GA1000-1A, was developed for aviators, so the main emphasis is on increased readability. The marks on the case are large. Arab numerals have become thicker.

In the compass GA1000-1A, the sensor is responsible for the exact orientation along the sides of the light. After pressing the button, this device gives the command to the second hand, which temporarily stops running and starts pointing to the North. To correct the route, the "Casio" clock with the compass retains the main direction of travel in memory. The compass protects the antimagnetic watch case.

The model "G-Shock GA1000-1A" received the backlight "Neon Illuminator". At night, the marks and arrows emit green or blue light. Researchers at Casio believe that these colors are better perceived in the dark. In order to activate the illumination by LEDs, it is enough to tilt the watch slightly to yourself.

The local time is shown by the analog arrows. The world time is displayed on the LCD.

"G-Shock GA1000-1A" measures and flashes the temperature of the ambient air.

The new model has an automatic calendar and a full set of timers, alarms and stopwatches.
