Chinese crossover "Haima-7": owner feedback, technical specifications

This article will be devoted to the car of Chinese production "Khaima-7". The owners' comments give grounds to believe that the quality of this crossover still needs to be trusted, in spite of the fact that the Chinese undoubtedly have more to work on and have something to improve. But the question remains whether this car is suitable for operation on our roads? We will try to find out.

Should I trust Chinese production?

Many motorists of our country do not trust Chinese manufacturers. There are several reasons for this: one is certain that the Communists simply can not make a good machine; Others are waiting from neighbors of the dirty trick since the border conflict on Damansky, and therefore are afraid of any novelties produced in the PRC; Others are simply familiar with the quality of the bulk of Chinese goods.

Nevertheless, the auto industry of the Middle Kingdom is developing. And I must say, quite successfully. Auto "Khaima-7" - to confirm this. This front-wheel-drive crossover came off the assembly line back in 1988. Then the direct participation in the development of the brand was taken by Mazda. In 2006, "Haima" became an independent company and began to produce cars of its own brand. In 2010, the world saw a car "Haima-7". For several years he traveled along his own roads, participated in several motor rallies. And in 2013, the brand owners decided that, finally, it's time to conquer the Russian market and bring their new creation to it. We can assume that the Chinese crossover "Khaima-7" has only two main competitors - Chevrolet-Niva and Renault-Daster.

History of creation

There is an opinion that the contours of the Chinese crossover make it very similar to all the famous Mazda Tribute. And this is really so, because it was the designers of the company "Mazda" who originally designed the car, which served as the base for the car "Khaima-7". The owners' feedback often contains words of gratitude to Chinese designers for having borrowed the successful and proven ideas of their former colleagues, not the Soviet concern ZAZ, for example.

Exterior of the car

So, the exterior of the car is decent. Especially worth noting the elongated headlights, sloping lines of the body and wings. It is possible to single out even a few details, which favorably differs from the older brother of the new "Khaima-7". Reviews of those who are familiar with the previous model, say that these are two completely different cars. The Chinese crossover has an original corrugated roof with silver rails, attracting attention 16-inch wheels made of light-alloy metals. The review mirrors of the "Khaima-7" model (test drive confirmed this advantage) are increased, plus the fact that they are equipped with electric drives and heating. The manufacturer offers its potential customers five options for a soft body color, which gives the car a special solidity and elegance. And in general, the appearance of the crossover allows us to call it an extraordinary and original child of the Chinese automobile industry.

Technical characteristics of "Khaima-7"

Unfortunately, in the Russian market the car will be presented only in complete sets with the two-liter petrol unit, capacity in 136 horsepowers. The gearbox is also limited in variety - you can choose only 5-speed automatic transmission or manual transmission. The drive is front only. The weight of the crossover is 1435 kg, which in combination with its low ground clearance is unlikely to make the car the king of off-road driving.

The maximum speed, which the "Haim" of the seventh model is capable of, is 168 km per hour. Up to 100 km the crossover can accelerate in 14 seconds. Thus, for explosive dynamics and rapid response, if necessary, urgently increase the speed should not be counted. "Haima-7" is a technique for a measured ride. This is also evidenced by the lack of lateral support for the front seats. This indicates that the car is not designed for steep turns and high-speed driving. The manufacturer claims that fuel consumption during the movement in a mixed cycle is 8.1 liters per 100 km (complete with manual transmission) and 8.8 liters per 100 km (with automatic transmission). But about how much the car "eats" in urban conditions, it is unknown, so it's not worthwhile to talk about the economy of the crossover. The wheels of the "Chinese" are equipped with disc brakes, with EBD and ABS systems. Well, relying on all of the above, we have to admit that, in fact, the technical part of the crossover is much inferior to its interior, exterior and electronic stuffing.

The interior of the "Khaima-7"

Reviews of the owners of this car say that the cabin is quite spacious for both the driver and passengers. But the interior is difficult to name luxurious (or at least solid), because manufacturers used cheap plastic for decoration of the salon, although they carried out the work accurately and qualitatively - it is difficult to find any obvious defects or jags.

The panel with the multimedia display is located in a convenient place, all buttons and devices are intuitively clear and conveniently located, in front of the torpedo there is a capacious glove box. For safety reasons, the driver and front passenger seats are fitted with integrated cushions. For the driver it will be especially pleasant to have eight positions for adjusting the chair. Rear seats are also adjustable in the angle of the backrest, but passengers of the second row are still less fortunate. Due to the fact that the doorway is small, and the wheel arch protrudes quite heavily into the interior, sitting in the back seat, especially if there is a long-distance road, is not very convenient.

Additional comfort

What else can be said about the comfort of staying in the car "Haima-7"? Reviews of those who managed to ride on the crossover, note that the front seats are equipped with a five-band heating. True, it can only be turned on by the driver, besides, for this he needs to tear his back from the seat. The passenger does not have this function at all.

Chinese manufacturers have even taken care of the passengers to hang their things: they equipped the car with hooks for bags and an armrest. For the passengers of the rear seat there are cup holders, in addition, there are seven bottle holders. Rugs in the cabin of the crossover can be changed depending on the season (winter-summer).

Let's turn our eyes to the trunk of the "Khaima-7" model. Reviews of car enthusiasts say that the luggage compartment is quite roomy. Its volume is 455 liters, which, however, is much less than that of the main competitors. But the rear seats can be folded into the interior if necessary, which will free up a lot of useful space.

Cost

The car, which the manufacturer plans to introduce in the Russian market, is more intended for a consumer with an average income level. The price for "Haymu-7" starts from the mark of 599 900 rubles. This version of GL includes a leather steering wheel, two airbags, electric mirrors, audio preparation, ABS, roof rails. In the bundle GLX for 659 900 rubles the buyer can get a car with air conditioning, heated front seats, power windows, CD-audio system. For 749 900 rubles you can get a crossover with an automatic transmission, with leather trim all seats, cruise and climate control.

Pros and cons of the car "Khaima-7": results

If we talk about the car in general, then in conditions of operation on our roads it is less suitable than similar models of competitors. Buying this crossover in order to obtain an inexpensive SUV, it should be noted that, in fact, he is not. Also an important argument not in favor of buying a car "Haima-7" for our roads is that the sensors of the ABC are open, like the brake system itself, and this - for our climate - is simply unacceptable. Given the cost of servicing this car, as well as the undeveloped dealer network in Russia, the minimum number of corresponding SRTs, we can say with certainty that the content of such an "iron horse" is not a cheap pleasure.

To buy or not?

Summarizing. The crossover of the Chinese production "Khaima-7" can be attributed to something average between the versatile person and an off-road vehicle. Relatively inexpensive, spacious and chic with a look of a car with a sturdy bodywork and impressive electrofurniture still does not have those qualities that the Russian buyer is looking for in automotive technology. Unfortunately, comparing the pros and cons of exploitation of the "Chinese" on our roads, we can conclude that the negative moments overlap the positive, and therefore you should carefully weigh all the pros and cons before buying.
