Burn an ISO image to a CD or DVD

There is a special file format called ISO, which is a copy of a DVD or a CD with all the information. If you burn the ISO to a CD or DVD, the whole file structure that was on the original media will be saved. The most common way to get a disk image is to download it from the site. For example, you can easily use this image in the future to update the operating system itself or any programs that are part of it.

When working with newcomers with disk images, there are often two cases. The first is due to the fact that the user downloads the image, and then writes it to the blank as a regular file. The second is that the image is easily opened by any archiver, so the user unpacks it, and then writes these files. In both cases, nothing will work.

It turns out that it is quite feasible to write ISO using standard Windows 7 tools. You should choose the right disk for recording, depending on what type of discs are supported by the drive, and also on the size of the file that you want to burn. An important factor is also on what device it is planned to use the recorded disc. To do this, you need to insert the disc you want to write to the appropriate device. Now you should open My Computer. In the explorer it is worthwhile to find the file you intend to write, and then click on it twice. If there are a number of recording devices, you can choose the one suitable in the drop-down list. Thanks to the offered option of checking the disc after the recording, you will be able to find out how successfully this operation was performed. If there are important data in the image, the integrity of which is a priority, this checkbox must be set. After clicking on "Record" the process will start.

If you do not think you can burn an ISO to a disk using the standard features of the system, you can use a special program. At the moment there are a lot of them, there are only a few: BurnAware, CDBurnerXP, Nero, ImgBurn and others. Let's look at how to burn an ISO using the CDBurnerXP application. When you start the program, you will see a list of actions that can be performed. Then you should select the item write ISO, then click "OK". In the next window, select the desired disk image. In the same window you have the opportunity to select the drive for this procedure and the necessary speed for recording. After all the settings have been completed, you can proceed. Now you will see a window in which the progress of the procedure will be shown.

To burn the image to disk, you can use the software Nero BurningROM. Its interface is simple and straightforward. When opening the program, you should select the drive, and then open the project. Next, select the image of interest, click "Open". In the next window, called "Project Entry", you need to configure the required parameters. Clicking the "Record" button will start the process.

You can burn an ISO image to a USB flash drive. There are two options for this. In the first, it is proposed to use the Ultra ISO program. Open the image, after selecting the item "Boot", you should select "Burn the image of the hard disk", while the USB flash drive must be inserted into the port. Next, you need to choose the recording method, then it's better to stop on the USB-HDD + option. Now press "Record". As a result of these simple actions, you will have a bootable flash drive. If you can not correctly write the image, then you can use another option, that is, Win32 Disk Imager. In its use, too, there is nothing complicated, since it has a very clear interface.
