How to learn to make bracelets from polymer clay

Let's look at how to create a bracelet with your own hands from the type of clay you need to cook. If you do not already know how to mold out polymer clay, then we will talk about this too! You will need:

  • Polymer clay in various colors;
  • A thin rubber band, on which we will string beads;
  • Toothpicks;
  • Saucepan;
  • Ruler;
  • stationery knife;
  • good mood.

Carefully stir the clay in your hands to make it soft and supple. Roll it into sausage with a diameter of about one centimeter. The bracelet will consist of ten beads, so we measure ten centimeters from the sausage and cut it into ten parts, respectively. From each part we will twist the circle. You can slightly flatten the future bead, but you can leave it round. Then take a toothpick and do not start digging into pieces of clay so that small holes form. In each kruglyashke make a through hole, through which and put the elastic band. When all the beads are ready, you can start cooking them. Pour in a small pot of water and put it on a large fire to quickly boil.

When the water boils, make fire less and throw the polymer clay into a saucepan. Beads can begin to stick to the bottom, so they can be gently stirred. Be extremely careful not to damage the rods. To ensure that the through holes remain after cooking as they were, leave the toothpicks in the beads and cook with them. Leave the clay for another 5-7 minutes, and you can get the beads out of the water. Clay can lose its former color and become dull, so beads can be covered with building varnish or ordinary clear nail polish. When the varnish dries, you can get toothpicks and string beads on an elastic band. All right, the bracelet is ready! When you train, you will get even more interesting and beautiful bracelets made of polymer clay. So practice and experiment!
