Block reinforced concrete: scope and features

The reinforced concrete block is made of rope reinforcement and concrete, characterized by moisture resistance and strength. It has acquired a wide distribution in the construction industry: in the creation of a band solid foundation, the installation of wall structures in basements and multi-storey buildings. The size of the blocks is selected in accordance with the expected load on them.

Benefits

The cost of the product is determined by the components used, size and purpose. It should be noted that this material must have a high quality, since it depends on the strength and durability of the building. Block reinforced concrete has many advantages, among which is the following:

  • Acceptable cost. Reinforced concrete structures are much cheaper than steel.
  • Long service life. The products can have a constant load for many years, while they retain the same density and reliability. The warranty period can be up to 100 years.
  • Resistance to biological and chemical effects. Blocks are not susceptible to the development of microorganisms and mold, as well as to substances with aggressive chemical composition.
  • Fire safety. Block reinforced concrete is highly resistant to open flame and high temperature values.
  • The ability to transfer dynamic and static loads. A building constructed of such a composite material is able to withstand the weight of any building elements and soil pressure. Also, he does not fear the weight of the snow accumulated on the roof, and the effect of the wind.

Overlap plates

Reinforced concrete slabs are used to create interstorey structures in objects with any purpose and have a basis of silicate concrete. Products may have a ribbed or straight form. A characteristic feature of the first variant is the gap between the ribs, its length is within 100 cm.

Plates act as supports for the creation of floor and ceiling, their brand and dimensions are selected in accordance with the load, the possibility of using additional insulating elements and operating conditions. They are not subject to subsidence and are highly reliable.

Reinforcing products allows you to achieve maximum strength. It is possible to use both standard reinforcement and tension, which increases the degree of the transferred effect. So reinforced concrete slabs acquire greater durability and reliability.

Scope of use of blocks

The main purpose is to create load-bearing structures in multi-storey buildings. Different brands of products have certain properties and different levels of resistance to a constant load in the temperature range from -60 to +50 degrees. It is possible to use not only for equipping the base of buildings, but also for technological basements and wall structures. The most widespread products were FBS products for creating foundations and erecting unheated premises (warehouses, garages and cellars).

Features

On a reinforced concrete block, the price is set at 400-3000 rubles (depending on the mass and size). Products are also used in the construction of prefabricated facilities, the constituent elements of which are manufactured by construction plants and special combines. Due to this, the principle of erecting such buildings is similar to the designer. Today, two types of prefabricated base, made from blocks, have become quite common: a ribbon and a glass foundation. The reinforced concrete elements in the latter version additionally have a load of load-bearing frame columns. The use of a tape base has its own specifics. They act as a cushion, providing a uniform transfer of the applied loads. It is worth noting that the reinforced concrete block significantly speeds up the process of erecting the house and reduces construction costs.

Kinds

Currently, there are several varieties of products, each of which has its advantages and application features. The most widespread is the composite material FBS, which is also divided into several types. It has the following dimensions: length from 2400 to 400 mm, height and width - from 600 to 300 mm. It is worth highlighting the following varieties:

  • Hollow constructions. Internal cavities in them are intended for heat-insulating materials. They are less weighty compared to other types and are used for a foundation standing on a floating or complex ground.
  • Solid products with grooves. Allows you to reduce the cost of connecting heat and water networks due to the possibility of laying communications in special cutouts.
  • A solid reinforced concrete block, the dimensions of which are selected depending on the type of structure, is characterized by the absence of voids and the presence of reinforcement of high strength, which provides use in seismological conditions.
