"Belobok": fir, decorating the landscape

Refinement of the infield is a favorite activity for all owners of private lands. The tendency to plant exceptionally practical fruit trees is a thing of the past. Increasingly, gardeners are interested in unusual plants that do not have utilitarian value. And if you want to impress your relatives with friends and cast down ill-wishers, look at the "white-beard" (spruce). Such a special tree will not leave anyone indifferent.

How does the "white-cap" look like: fir-baby

The tree species was bred by Polish professor Stefan Bialobok, the head of a large arboretum. And almost immediately caused universal enthusiasm - a very unusual result was a spruce (photo shows it). Crohn in the first years of life has an irregular shape and high density, the trunk is initially weakly expressed. Adult needles have a beautiful bluish-silver hue, but the main attractive feature is considered to be the emerging new spring shoots: "whites" - spruce, throwing out the soft creamy shoots. Due to them the tree turns out smart and bright. And as they grow older, they change the shade, so that the appearance, while remaining spectacular, adorns the garden in different ways at different times of the year.

"Belobok" is a very small spruce. The maximum height does not exceed 2.5 meters with a cross-section of a meter. At the same time, the herringbone grows slowly, giving no more than 10-15 cm of annual increment. Due to the miniature size of the "whites" - a spruce, suitable for planting even in small areas.

Planting of a Christmas tree

First of all, you need to choose the right place. Spruce spiny "belobok" loves the sun; Survive can and in the penumbra, but will lose its contrasting color. Required a good layer of drainage, which is suitable for rough sand or broken brick. Layer - at least 15 centimeters. The depth of the pit under the spruce "whites" can vary from 5 to 29 cm, this depends on the size of the seedling. The main thing to watch is that the neck is not buried. Immediately after planting, the herringbone is abundantly watered, after which the moistening stops for 2-3 weeks.

It is interesting that this fir can be planted in winter. True, then a special soil mixture is prepared, and watering is canceled.

Proper care

In order for you to grow elegant and magnificent spruce (photo), you will not need much trouble, but you will have to take care of the tree. There were few rules, but they must be followed scrupulously.

1. In the spring - sprinkling of the crown "Epin" on a par with other plants and fertilizing fertilizer intended for conifers.
2. Like all the Christmas trees, the "whites" do not tolerate the drought with heat. With the onset of such weather, the Christmas tree should be watered once a week - up to 12 liters of water per copy.
3. "Belobok" is a winter-hardy spruce tree, with strong branches, so they do not face a breakdown under the load of snow. But in the first couple of years after the transplant, it is better to cover the sap with burlap or lapnika: this will prevent late-winter or early spring burns. It is very positively perceived by the tree and the shelter of the circumferential space by peat. In the spring it will not be removed, just loosen up, mixing with the soil.

And more - no hassle. The herringbone hurts so rarely that these cases are not worth mentioning. Just be sure to make sure that there is no moisture stagnation: the surface root system from it quickly rot. If in the spring on the site stagnation occurs, it is better to make a drainage from the place where spruce grows.

Features of landscape use

"Belobok" is a spruce mainly for individual, isolated landings: this is how it looks most effectively. Looks good composition with elements of the Japanese garden; Visually "hammer" the tree will be large brightly blossoming bushes, located in the field of view near the "white-cap".

However, you can create and group plantings with other plants. In this case, the fir-trees are planted in a kind of framing around taller trees, most often conifers. Make sure that the distances in the plantings are at least 2 m, and the trees have enough lighting: if they are constantly in the shade of higher plants, they will fade.

Unusual will be a hedge of fir-trees "belobok." By the way, these trees are well shaped and easy to survive haircuts, starting from the second year of life. However, at the same time, the colorfulness of plants is greatly lost, therefore it is recommended to carry out pruning in autumn: a bright and unusual "fence" will be waiting for you in the spring.
