Andreev Igor - the best tennis player of Russia (2007)

The generation of tennis players born in the eighties was a generation of talented guys stretching out a happy ticket. The then president, Boris Yeltsin, did much to develop his beloved sport, previously considered a bourgeois. The training of a professional athlete required from 300-500 thousand dollars. Under Yeltsin began to build courts and create tennis schools, since 1990 in Moscow, the tournament series Masters - the Kremlin Cup was held. One of the lucky ones was the talented Muscovite Andreev Igor.

Childhood

In 1983, in a Moscow family, which did not have a relationship with the sport, a son was born, who was sent to the tennis section in 4 years. The choice was absolutely random. In Sokolniki, where the couple lived Valery and Marina Andreev, only there it was possible to arrange a summer child. My father worked in business, and my mother - a household, having the opportunity to drive my son to training. Now the younger brother Nikita Andreev is growing up in the family. Igor, tennis for which became a matter of life, could not convey to him his love for this sport. Nikita is engaged in hockey.

Igor's idol since childhood was Andre Agassi, whom he dreamed of resembling. The young man realized early on that he was doing a truly beloved affair in which he wanted to improve. His parents gave him the opportunity to send him to the tennis academy in Valencia (Spain) on the advice of Dinara's mother and Marat Safin, a professional coach. Despite the departure there at the age of fifteen, Andreev Igor is one of the few tennis professionals who have a higher education. He graduated from RGUFK, having received a diploma of a coach.

Sports career

Andreev Igor, whose biography began in big sport in 2002, went to his first victories for three years. In 2004, in Gstaad (Switzerland) in the finals, he met with the world tennis leader Roger Federer, losing to him in a bitter struggle. In six tournaments in different years Andreev was close to victory. His first title he won in tandem with Nikolai Davydenko in 2004. It happened in his homeland (the Kremlin Cup). A year later, in an uncompromising fight with Nicholas Kiefer (Germany), he will win this title on his own, having written his name in the history of Russian tennis.

Andreev's best performances are connected with the ground, training in Spain was not in vain. The first victory in singles (out of three) he won in become almost native Valencia. In his assets, the winnings of the king of the earth, Rafael Nadal. Another victory he brought Italy (Palermo). Everything is connected with 2005, which allowed the Russian to rise in the rating of the ATP to its best indicator - the 18th line. The best indicator for the year - 19 th place in 2008. This was preceded by a decline in the game due to numerous injuries, which threw the Russians to the third hundred rating of the ATP. Returning to the thirty-third position, Andreev Igor in 2007 received the "Return of the Year" award.

In Russia there is a gallery of the development of Russian tennis - the Hall of Tennis Glory, located in Moscow. In the studio "NTV +" carefully stored history, collected by bit of fans of this sport. Introduction to the Hall is accompanied by the presentation of a special diploma and a prize statuette. This honor was also awarded to Andreev Igor Valerievich - a tennis player who wrote his name in gold letters in the chronicle of the development of Russian sports. This is due not only to the victories in the Kremlin Cup tournament, but primarily with participation in team competitions for the Davis Cup.

Playing for the country, Andreev managed to win three times in the fifth, decisive match, winning for the team a third, winning point. It was in the game with France in 2005, with Chile and Germany in 2007. It was in this year that the Sports Federation honored his title of "Russia's Best Tennis Player", although the country from the first place was separated by the final, lost by the United States. The same fate befell the team and in 2008, when the decisive battle was the Swedish World Cup lost.

Personal life

In a big sportsman, personal life is often intertwined with his professional activities. In tennis academy Igor met with Maria Kirilenko, one of the most beautiful tennis players of our time. The couple lived together for eight years, not only supporting each other, but also speaking in a mix. Their best achievement is the semifinal of Wimbledon in 2008. Relations were so strong that Maria refused to meet Prince Harry, who showed interest in her. I did not take courtship from other foreign celebrities, hoping for a further life together with my fellow countryman.

07/16/2011 the couple together was present at the wedding of a friend - tennis player Elena Dementieva. Eyewitnesses say: Maria was upset when she could not catch the bouquet from the hands of the bride, to which the partner reacted differently than she would have liked. There was no proposal, no discussion of the future prospects of living together. Present at the wedding, Alexander Ovechkin, taking advantage of the situation, later began to take care of Maria Kirilenko, persuading her to leave for the US. The new couple even announced the engagement, but today the girl is married to state official Alexei Stepanov and is quite happy. Andreev Igor does not take his private life for discussion. In 2012, for the "Muz-TV" award, he appeared on hand with the ex-soloist "Brilliant" Anna Dubovitskaya.

Completion of career

After receiving a serious shoulder injury, the tennis player from the end of 2012 to April 2013 did not appear on the court, falling in the ranking to the lowest rates for a career. He still hoped to get up, taking part in Wimbledon. Departing in the first round, Andreev Igor announced his desire to complete his professional career. Victor Yanchuk, the deserved trainer, bitterly complained that the outstanding athlete failed to realize the potential he possessed. During his career, the tennis player earned 3.630 million dollars, but is not ready to sit idly by, he dreams of becoming a real coach.

His whole life is connected with sports. Together with Dinara Safina, he participates in the opening of new courts in Krasnogorsk, Anna Chakvetadze comments on Roland Garros, advises the young generation of Russian tennis players. His dream - a new tennis academy, where able to deal with talented children whose parents do not have the financial resources to invest in a business project called "professional tennis player."

Another scandal in tennis

Today Andreev Igor Valerievich was involved in a scandal about contractual matches in tennis, bringing fabulous profits to bookmakers. Investigations of tennis authorities revealed athletes who confessed to the crime and received a lifetime disqualification. It was said about involvement in the unfair game of individual Russian athletes. In January 2016, according to the results of the analysis of the rates in the bookmaker offices for the matches of the Masters series, a list of sixteen sportsmen caught under suspicion was published. Surname Andreeva in the list of three Russians.

President of the Tennis Federation of the country Shamil Tarpishchev is outraged by the publicity of such a list, not supported by any evidence. In this it is difficult to believe also because all his activities in sports tennis player argued: he is engaged in a complex, but favorite business, which he is ready to dedicate his entire future life.
