Analysis "In the trenches of Stalingrad" Nekrasov

In 1946, Viktor Nekrasov, an unknown writer, entered the literature. "In the trenches of Stalingrad" - the analysis of the work is given in the article - a story that opened a new page in the image of the Second World War. Some will call it "trench", others - "lieutenants." In any case, what is important is that it was a completely new look at recent tragic events. In the center of the image for the first time were simple soldiers and their commanders, fully aware of the hardships of front life.

about the author

V. Nekrasov was born in Kiev (in 1911, the autobiographical protagonist of the novel remembers this city with warmth). Prior to the war he received the specialty of an architect, was fond of theater, painting, literature. Tried to write, but life, according to his confession, did not give a suitable story, and the fictional was uninteresting neither to the author, nor to the editors.

On the front, N. Nekrasov was from the first months of the war - this is proved by the story and its analysis. "In the trenches of Stalingrad" - a work written on the basis of personal observations and sensations of the author. Later the writer recalled that the real detonator (and he, like his hero, served as a military engineer and deputy commander of a field engineer battalion) saw only a year after the outbreak of war the first pistol-a week before the unsuccessful offensive near Kharkov. Nekrasov took part in the defense of Stalingrad and on his own skin knew all the hardships of the front-line everyday life. He was demobilized after the wound at the end of the war - in 1945.

The history of the creation of the story "In the trenches of Stalingrad"

Analysis of the work should begin with the history of his birth. When he was in the Kiev hospital, the future writer ran into the fact that his right hand was not working well after the injury. On the advice of the doctor, he began to develop it: he wrote a lot. These were memories of the heroic defense of the city on the Volga in 1942-1943. Yesterday's defender of Stalingrad had a desire to share with readers the experience and tell about his comrades-in-arms. So the first pages of the story appeared, in the original reminiscent of the main character's diary, Yuri Kerzhentsev.

Later Nekrasov dictated the notebook notes to the typist, and sent the finished text of the work with a friend (at random!) To Moscow. And then after some time in the "Banner" was printed the work "Stalingrad", immediately provoked conflicting assessments. In many, the content and analysis of the story "In the trenches of Stalingrad" caused discontent. First of all, the fact that it did not have the usual laudatory speeches addressed to the leader and the top command staff. Meanwhile, Stalin himself approved the work, which resulted in the delivery to the author in 1947 of the Stalin Prize of the second degree.

Feature of narration

The story is written on behalf of a young lieutenant, a twenty-eight-year-old military engineer Yuri Kerzhentsev. This is a detailed, almost daily, story about the mass retreat of Soviet troops from Oskol to the Volga, about the weeks of life in Stalingrad, first peaceful, interrupted by the enemy's fierce bombardment, then military - during the fierce battles for Mamayev Kurgan and approaches to the city. At the same time, as analysis shows, "In the trenches of Stalingrad" (the story) does not contain voluminous descriptions of battles and heroic exploits of Soviet soldiers. All the paintings are extremely capacious and truthful - silence, according to Nekrasov, in the story is not more than 1%. This is explained simply.

The author wished to show the real defenders of the country through the eyes of a warrior who experienced during the war natural human feelings: longing for peaceful life and family, pride in his comrades, shame for retreats and failures, fear of explosions and incessant fire in the trenches of Stalingrad . Analysis of the work seems to transfer the reader to the battlefield, and he, following the protagonist, tries to rethink what happened, to understand what price the victory was given to the people.

The role of lyrical digressions and reflections of the hero

The descriptions of reality are often interrupted by a retrospective of the past. In the first part there are more of them, in the second part, where the event series develops faster, there are not so many. During a painful retreat, Kerzhentsev's memories of his beloved Kyiv, where his home and family were left, are memories. The hero suffers constant pain from the fact that now the fascists are in charge there.

A few peaceful days in Stalingrad are reminiscent of a beloved girl, pre-war activities and hobbies, which will never be the same as before. Conversations at the plant, which are preparing for the explosion, evoke memories of the "Sevastopol stories". In them, L. Tolstoy discusses the "hidden patriotism" of the Russian people. This is what the main character now sees next to him, Nekrasov emphasizes.

In the trenches of Stalingrad (analysis of contrasting pictures reinforces the impression of reading), Yuri draws attention to the surrounding nature. Description of the autumn landscape, calm and majestic, against which unfolding terrible events, helps to feel sharply the tragedy scale of what is happening. This perception of the world turns Kerzhentsev into a man trying to solve the eternal problem of life and death, heroism and meanness, sincerity and hypocrisy.

Image of the war

Analysis "In the trenches of Stalingrad" (Nekrasov's story) brings the reader to the main idea. In each line the author painfully talks about how quick life is: a minute ago a person spoke, breathed, and now lies with an extinct look and a mutilated body. At the same time everything happens every day, and the description of the various faces of death and human suffering makes it possible to understand the true scale of the people's tragedy. Incredibly realistic describes Nekrasov death of a wounded in the stomach Lazarenko and a very young machine gunner. As the most terrible manifestation of death, he remembers the murdered soldier, whose butt ends in the butt. Incredible force of influence is also possessed by episodes telling, for example, about the defense of sheds or the capture of a hills, when a small handful of poorly armed Soviet soldiers heroically confronted the detachment of the enemy with tanks and machine guns.

The image of the main character

The analysis of the story "In the trenches of Stalingrad" Nekrasov is impossible without appeal to the personality of Yuri Kerzhentsev. He is an educated, intelligent person who absorbs everything he sees and hears around him. He understands that the war is not at all like a peaceful life: nothing can be foreseen in it. And yet, what is happening: retreat, the plight of the army, mute reproaches in the views of the inhabitants of the abandoned settlements - makes the hero and his colleagues look for an answer to the age-old question of who is to blame.

The lieutenant repeatedly finds himself thinking that war is hardening in the war, and human values are becoming completely different. Nevertheless, he is very self-critical and demanding of himself. An unobtrusive, sometimes hot-tempered hero at the right time is able to support and make the right decision. He sincerely experiences the death of each of his comrades. In responsible minutes, it appears next to the soldiers, just like them, they do not hide from bullets. The war became a responsible business for him, which should be carried out on conscience.

The author does not idealize his hero, which is confirmed by Kerzhentsev's actions and their analysis. "In the trenches of Stalingrad" - an example of how an ordinary man behaves in a war. When bullets fly by during a conversation with Chumak, Yuri involuntarily ducks. He, the commander, sometimes does not know what to do, and he feels guilty for others. Does not refuse from milk or lemon extracted by Valega. But his dignity lies in the fact that he does not have false heroism, arrogance.

Thus, the protagonist is an ordinary person who, at the cost of his life, defended Stalingrad and the whole country.

The image of Valega

In his story Nekrasov ("In the trenches of Stalingrad"), the analysis of the contents of which this confirms, special attention is paid to the orderly Kerzhentsev-Valege. This is a simple uneducated eighteen-year-old guy, endlessly devoted to his lieutenant and homeland. His work, at first glance, is invisible, but Kerzhentsev more than once was surprised at how cleverly Valega was managing. In any conditions, Yuri was waiting for a warm lunch, clean linen, dry cloak-tent. In some unknown way Valega could adapt to any conditions. At the same Kerzhentsev was sure that if the cartridges run out and they need to fight for their homeland with their teeth, his orderly will also cope in this situation. It was such soldiers who lived in the trenches day and night, and borne the brunt of the war.

The place of the story in the literature

V. Nekrasov first in the domestic literature showed, according to V. Bykov, "the correctness and high essence of individuality in the war, the importance of the person ... in an environment with the absolute submission of one to all ...". A decade later, a whole generation of front-line writers from the "Nekrasov trenches" wrote about what they themselves suffered and experienced.

conclusions

The book about people from trenches - so named many of the first readers the story, which was written in 1946 by unknown V. Nekrasov, "In the trenches of Stalingrad." The analysis of the work confirms this idea. The impartial story of the author about those who, in the terrible years for the country, faced a moral choice and managed to retain the best human qualities, once again emphasizes the unshakable steadfastness, boundless courage and true patriotism of the Russian people, who always knew how to defend the freedom and independence of their state.
