Agriculture of the Far East. Accommodation factors

Factors influencing the specialization of agriculture and its distribution include the quality of soils, the sum of active temperatures, the duration of the warm period, the total solar radiation, the amount of precipitation, and the conditions of moisture. In addition, the frequency of the occurrence of unfavorable weather conditions, including droughts, frosts, wind and water erosion, as well as the terrain and water availability - the proximity of lakes, rivers and other water bodies are taken into account. Given all these factors, it can be argued that the agriculture of the Far East, for example, is fundamentally different from this branch of the economy in the central regions of the country.

To a greater extent, the factors underlying the distribution of agriculture and its specialization depend on the natural conditions in crop production. And in livestock production the most dependent on climatic conditions is pasture livestock raising, which includes sheep breeding and horse breeding, on which, for example, the agriculture of the Far East is specialized, as well as reindeer husbandry. In such areas, pasture livestock production is significantly influenced by such factors as the availability of pastures, the quality composition of vegetation, and the length of the pasture use period.

The second group of factors in the allocation of agriculture are socio-economic. First of all, this is a population capable of providing the process of reproduction of labor. Thus, the agriculture of the Far East, for example, specializes in different agricultural production in different regions, depending on the availability of labor resources. After all, as we know, some branches of agriculture are more labor-intensive than others. For example, the production of vegetables and potatoes, beets and other industrial crops requires significant labor costs, and therefore can only develop in areas where the population can provide the required level of labor.

The socio-economic factors of the location of agriculture include the economic conditions of a particular region. They are determined by the presence of processing enterprises, the quality of vehicles, the availability of means of communication. Agriculture of the Far East is not an exception to the rules, and its specialization is determined by these factors, as well as by the presence in relative proximity of large cities and agglomerated zones, which form around themselves a specific area of specialization in agricultural production. In addition, the existing economic potential in the agriculture of the region, which includes reclaimed land, various agricultural facilities, etc., and the efficiency of transportation of agricultural products to other regions, is a significant economic factor.

Other factors that determine the development and location of individual industries in agriculture include scientific and technological progress. Achievements in the scientific and technological revolution give an opportunity to increase the efficiency of agricultural production, expand its distribution areas, etc. Countries with developed market economies influence the factors of location and development of agricultural production on a national scale, by lending to enterprises, maintaining prices for products, etc.

Agriculture of the Far East, like other regions of the country, is characterized by high-quality agriculture, with a high level of chemicalization and mechanization, and in the last decade by the introduction of automation and microelectronics, as well as achievements in breeding and genetics.
