Over the past 10-15 years, viewers have seen a huge number of detective series. The stories about mysterious crimes and the process of their disclosure have become incredibly popular, so ABC channel, among others, in 2011 announced the release of the new series "The Corollary to the Body." Actors and roles written by screenwriter Christopher Murphy, fell in love with fans of the genre all over the world.

During the pilot episode, 14 million viewers gathered at the screens, which was one of the most successful ABC launches in the last six years. It is interesting that in Russia the "Investigation into the body" began to show two months earlier than the premiere in the United States.

Plot

After the accident Neurosurgeon Megan Hunt failed to fully recover, so during a complex operation through her fault, one of the patients died. The tragic event affected not only her career, but also her personal life. Hunt's husband filed for divorce and secured custody of the teenage daughter Lacy.

Her unique abilities Megan found a different application. She got a job as a forensic expert. With dead people, the doctor was much easier to work with, but sometimes I had to communicate with colleagues who considered Hunt an incredible specialist with an intolerable character.

Actors "Corollary for the body" should have been well-versed in the human anatomy. The most difficult was Dana Dileyni, who played the role of Dr. Megan Hunt.

A talented actress became famous thanks to the TV series "China Beach". Her heroine - Lieutenant Colin McMurphy - brought not only the recognition of viewers and critics, but also two Emmy awards.

After the completion of the project, Deleyney actively acted in film and appeared as a guest star in several TV series. In 2007, Catherine Mayfair and Desperate Housewives once again recalled the capabilities of the actress, but for the main role in the medical drama "The Corpus Effect" she left the popular TV series.

Jerry Ryan

The series "The Corollary to the Body," the actors and roles of which are presented in our review, attracted the attention of viewers thanks to two strong women. Dr. Keith Murphy is the chief forensic expert and boss of Megan Hunt.

Murphy managed to achieve great success in the profession, but in his personal life everything is much more complicated. Relations with the new subordinate remain a real mystery to the viewer. Two smart and attractive women do not easily cooperate with each other, and the conflict over a man only aggravates the situation. With the role of incomparable Kate perfectly handled Jerry Ryan.

Fans of fantastic TV series, most likely, recognized the American actress thanks to the project "Star Trek: Voyager" and the character "The Seventh of the Nine" (Seventh). In addition, Jerry Ryan starred in the series "Sharks", "Impact", "Law and Order: Special Corps."

No matter how many other actors try to "Investigate the body," but all the attention to themselves is "pulled over" by charming ladies. However, we will also talk about the male half of the series.

On a new job, Megan Hunt's partner was former police officer Peter Dunlop. After gunshot wound and rehabilitation, Dunlop decided to try himself in medicine, where he met a man with the same uneasy fate. Peter perfectly understands that Dr. Hunt is still tormented by guilt, but does not spare her and does not hesitate to tell the truth about the methods of her work. Fans of the series hoped for a novel between Megan and Peter, but the actor Nicholas Bishop had to leave the project because of creative disagreements.

Hope for happiness in the personal life of the heroine of Dana Dileyni appeared in the third season, when on the horizon a detective Tommy Sullivan appeared. Twenty years ago, Dr. Hunt met with this man, and now he moved from New York to Philadelphia and tries to wake up the old feelings. By the way, Mark Valley, who played the role of a brave Sullivan, already worked with Deleane on the set more than once. Actors ("Investigation of the body" - this is the third joint project) were filmed together in the films "Pasadena" and "Lawyers of Boston."

Criticism

The main characters in detective stories are most often men - Richard Castle ("Castle"), Dr. Lightman ("Deceive me"), Patrick Jane ("Mentalist"). Not surprisingly, the audience was interested in the drama with Dana Deleyni.

Interesting investigations and complex relationships of characters - at first glance, the actors of the series "Investigation of the body" did not show us anything original. However, in the center of the plot, the writer decided to put Megan Hunt - a woman with extraordinary abilities and complex character.

So, compared to the typical detectives, the "Investigations over the body" revealed a weighty advantage, but meticulous critics on this did not calm down. Because of medical themes, the project desperately resembled the famous "Doctor House", which most viewers recognized as the best thanks to the unusual team of Gregory House.

Unfortunately, the actors "The Corollary to the Body" and their characters were invisible against Megan Hunt. The cast varied constantly, and the histories of the secondary heroes did not arouse much interest. The development of the plot stopped, and the project had to be closed after three seasons.
