Against the background of many famous domestic artists, the Odessa actor named Vyacheslav Bogatyrev looks rather modest. His filmography is very modest - it consists of only one picture. But this was enough to stay forever in the audience's hearts. How did the fate of this actor take shape, and why did he do only one film?

Early years of the future artist

Bogatyrev Vyacheslav Mikhailovich was born in the beautiful port city of Odessa in May 1972.

Glory was an average child in the Bogatyrev family. His parents were ordinary hard workers, so all three sons did not even think about the acting profession.

The young Vyacheslav had a childhood that was quite usual for the Odessa boy. Like many of his peers, he dreamed, when he grows up, to become a sailor. Who would have thought that his dream would soon come true, but in a slightly different way than he imagined.

In the magical world of cinema

When he became a teenager Vyacheslav Bogatyrev, his biography suddenly changed - the boy was invited to act in films. His pleasant appearance, sincere blue eyes, proud posture and simplicity interested Vadim Vasilievich Kostromenko, who was just looking for artists for his new movie "The Secret Fairway".

Although the fourteen-year-old Slava had no acting experience at all, his simple-hearted manner of play demonstrated on the samples impressed Kostromenko, and he did not hesitate to approve the boy for the role of the youngster Shurki Lastikova in his adventure four-part television movie "The Secret Fairway."

An orphan from the besieged Leningrad Alexander Lastikov (played in the tape by actor Vyacheslav Bogatyrev) is a pupil of the commander of the torpedo boat Boris Shubin (Anatoly Kotenev). These two heroes hunt for a few years a German submarine "Flying Dutchman."

In addition to the adventure storyline, a lot of space is given to the romantic relationship between Shubin and Victoria Mezentseva (Larisa Guzeeva). Also much attention is focused on the friendship of the youngsters Lustikov and Boris Shubin, who becomes for a lonely boy not just a mentor and commander, but actually replaces his father.

By the way, the adult Shurku Lustikov was no longer played by Vyacheslav Bogatyrev, but the well-known actor and director Sergei Bystritsky.

Test of Glory

After the premiere of the film "The Secret Fairway" in 1986, he was very warmly received by the audience. Performers of the main roles after that became famous throughout the country, and the picture itself entered the gold collection of the Soviet cinema classics.

Like other participants in the project, Glory Bogatyrev also became famous. The actor, whose biography was now interested in many spectators and admirers, suddenly turned from an ordinary Odessa student into a movie star.

They admired him, imitated him, he was set as an example and envied. Bogatyryov's game did not leave anyone indifferent, especially in his homeland - in Odessa.

The very hero of our article did not boast its fame and did not attach much importance to it. After the premiere, he continued to study peacefully at school, playing football with his peers and showing no signs of stellar illness.

At that time, it seemed to many people around him that after such a successful debut the young man was provided with a brilliant film career, and soon he would appear in new tapes. But Bogatyrev surprised everyone, chose a completely different path for himself.

Forever with the sea, or How the fate of the artist

Unlike many other children-artists, Vyacheslav Bogatyrev did not allow the glory to spoil itself. And, having received a school diploma, he, as planned, went to study at a local naval school.

The administration of the university was pleased that among the students there is such a celebrity, especially the artist who played in the famous heroic film about the sailors. However, Slava himself was calm about this and never asked for favors from the teachers of the school. Perhaps that is why he earned a reputation among his fellow students as a reliable friend and a sympathetic person.

In 1989, Bogatyrev graduated from the school, and a year later was drafted into the army. During the distribution, the young man was sent to serve in the naval fleet near Sevastopol. Nobody knows whether this appointment was the result of ironic coincidence or a similar appointment was intentional. Most likely, even Vyacheslav Bogatyrev himself did not know this, but he was very pleased - he loved the sea, and considered his profession as a vocation.

It is interesting that after serving six months, Bogatyrev received an invitation to act again in the movie. The management of the Sevastopol film studio has agreed with the heads of the young man and was ready to release him for shooting a new film. However, Vyacheslav refused this tempting offer, arguing that he chose the profession of a sailor for himself, and not an artist, and therefore he does not intend to change anything. Some relatives later claimed that if at that time the actor was offered to play not a peasant, but again a sailor - he gladly agreed. Is this so, today no one can answer.

After serving two years, Vyacheslav Bogatyrev arrived safely home and soon found a job as a sailor on civilian ships. This profession he devoted all the future years of his life.

Personal life

Many friends and relatives noted that Slava Bogatyrev was truly a unique person: early on getting fame, he almost never used it to achieve some kind of favors from life. And not only in professional, but also in personal terms. After all, playing in the "Secret Fairway", he earned not only the respect of peers throughout the USSR, but also the close attention of the girls. And although his beautiful blue eyes made the heart of more than one schoolgirl die, the young artist did not use it and was not inclined to make fleeting novels, although he married quite early.

He met his tapered Svetlana, while still a teenager, and after graduation, when he was only seventeen, officially legalized their relationship. This union was surprisingly strong: together the couple lived a long and happy twelve years.

As for the other artist's relatives, it is known that his mother died shortly after the release of the film - in 1987. Also, according to unconfirmed to date, we know about the death of Vyacheslav's father - Mikhail Bogatyrev and his two brothers. The last of the male half of the family died brother Vyacheslav, Ruslan. It happened in the winter of 2013-2014.

The daughter of Vyacheslav Bogatyryov

Shortly after the marriage, in 1990, the Bogatyrev family was added - a daughter was born. She was called Alexandra. She became the first and only child of Vyacheslav Bogatyrev. However, for a long time to enjoy the family happiness to the actor did not happen - he was drafted into the army. By the way, at that time very young Sasha helped my father to shorten his life.

The actor lived a rather short life. In March 2001, before two months and eleven days before his 29th birthday, he died. The reason for such a sudden and early death of a pet in Odessa is not known, since he lived very modestly and did not try to attract special attention to himself or his family. His widow, Svetlana Bogatyryova, leaves unanswered the questions of spectators and journalists about the death of her husband - probably this topic is too painful for her, and she is not ready to talk about it.

Where the artist is buried

Despite the reluctance of his wife Vyacheslav Bogatyrev to talk about the last days and the death of his beloved wife, she shared information about the burial place of the artist. It became known from her that Vyacheslav Bogatyrev (photo below) had been buried at Tairov Cemetery in Odessa.

As his wife admitted, picking up photos on the monument, they with relatives, not for a moment not doubting, chose their card from the school where Bogatyrev is in naval uniform. Thanks to this, for fans of Vyacheslav's creativity, it will be easy to find his grave, because a slightly grown-up looks at them from the monument, but the same Shurka Lastikov from the "Secret Fairway".

Vyacheslav Bogatyrev was measured quite a few years - he did not live and thirty. But this man managed to achieve something for which there are not enough for a few centuries. Although in his filmography there is only one work, but many viewers remember him so far and respectfully talk about the acting work of Bogatyrev. Those who were fortunate enough to be personally acquainted with him, speak of the artist as a very modest, sincere and incredibly sympathetic person.

Some fans note with regret that Vyacheslav did not take advantage of the chance to make a film career. But if you look at his choice on the other hand, he does not seem such a mistake.
