About Business Literature

I like reading business literature. I read the first business book about 4 years ago, this was that little Bodo Shefera book written in a children's style for adults and successfully pushed by someone I knew. It seems like it, because he began to read similar literature in batches and indiscriminately. Next in line were Robert Kiyosaki, Brian Tracy, Maria Ivanova and other less well-known business theorists.

The moment of truth came pretty soon, when I already had about 20 such "masterpieces". Then I began to understand something and learned to compare the proposed ideas with the reality surrounding me. I learned to distinguish bad books from good books and discovered something for myself. And the discovery was truly frightening:
80% of business literature is graphomania of high-flying dilettantees who consider themselves gurus in business.

Only 10% of all creations of this genre are based on practice, plus 10% of theorists are simply interesting to read.

Draws a scheme for breeding suckers:

Any savvy copywriter with a little developed literary talent can sit down and write a book. It can be called "How to make a million in 15 minutes," or "How to become a billionaire in an hour, if you are an employee of the Minsk underground," is not the essence. The main thing - that all thrown out on paper delirium was written so that all doubts concerning expediency of words of the author fell away. Very often, such a lie does not fit in any way with the mindset of the reader and he begins to search in the book for the hidden meaning that the finish is in fact. How this trash can manage to convince even publishers remains a mystery, but the fact that it occupies a large part of the shelf space is a fact.

Once the principle of all this naebalov deception is clear, let's look at the goals that all these business amateurs set themselves for themselves. There are only two of them:

Self-PR. This is the main motive for writing a business book. In the ideal sense, it leads to two additional bonuses - an increase in the author's CZ's and the dough's cutting.

Felling of dough. Also an important factor affecting the decision to write a book. Sometimes, by the way, can come to the fore if the sophomore is poor and lives in a student dormitory.

And the last distinctive feature of pseudo-business literature is an attempt to sell the reader the herbalife formula of wealth.

There was still no business book that would tell you how to get rich. The business book can motivate, guide in the right direction, promote the development of personality and leadership qualities, but never, NEVER and NOT IN ONE BOOK you will not find a working method of acquiring wealth. Why?
There is no ready method.

You must reach it yourself. Do something at last.

As a bonus track, I spread out a list of books that are really worth the time spent, which are written by knowledgeable people who write about having passed by Myself. They do not have a new interesting technique for mining a philosopher's stone or a way to turn water into gold, but they teach a lot. So:

Richard Branson - "To hell with everything, take it and do it!"
Richard Branson - "Naked Business"
Henry Ford - "My Life"
Lee Iacocca - "Manager's Career"
Al Ries, Jack Trout - "Positioning. The battle for the minds. "
Al Ries, Jack Trout - "Marketing Wars"

From our:

Maxim Kotin - "Chichvarkin E ... genius"
Oleg Tinkov - "I'm like everyone else"
