13 questions arising after viewing the new trailer of Season Season "Games of Thrones"

The article contains spoilers from the seventh season of "Games of Thrones", as well as discussion of upcoming events. The first full-length trailer of the series has already been released, but after it some details of the new season were cleared up, but some questions arose.

1. Notable absences: Brienne and Podric

In the sixth season Brienne and Podrik went to Riverrane to bring the Black Fish back to the north, hoping for his help in defeating the Boltons. Instead, they arrived at the castle, surrounded by the forces of Lannister and Frei.

The last time we see them, swim upstream of the river, for which sadly watching Jaime.

We hoped to see them in Winterfell and on the side of Sansa, but HBO did not show anything. So where are they? Are they still in the River Lands or get into other troubles?

Answer: Brienne was there all the time! This detail is easy to miss, but it "flickers" in the background in the scenes where John Snow is shown. Podrik was not seen with her, but if everything is all right with Krasotka, surely, with her squire too.

2. The second noticed absence: King of the Night

Almost in every new trailer of the previous seasons we observed the leader of the white walkers, but in this he distinguished himself by his absence. And if it comes to that, there was not a single walker at all.

Where is the King of the Night? Will he move through the wall in the new season? Will Bran and Mira be saved from it? There is still no answer to this question.

3. What about Bran and Mira?

And the truth is, what? HBO showed us little of their fate - only one, nothing to say, a frame with Bran. It seems that they are still outside the Wall.

In the sixth season, Bran touched the leaves of the tree and suffered consciousness at the time of the birth of John Snow and his mother - Lianna Stark. In the trailer of the seventh, he opens his eyes ... and that's it.

We can not wait to see if Bran and Mira can get to the Black Castle or even Winterfell, so that the Starkeys can reunite - even if it means trouble for the Wall.

4. And where is Sam and Gilly?

This couple also was not in the trailer. Too many noticeable absences! On the other hand, they are on the promo photos, and they are together.

It seems that both Sam and Gilly stayed in the Old City, and Sam does not even wear the black clothes of the Night Watch anymore. But we are very curious about what will happen to them, especially when they get news that John was first killed, then he was resurrected, and then he became King of the North.

5. What did Little finger do that made John Snow so angry?

The trailer shows how John furiously pushes the little finger to the wall, while both are in the crypts of Winterfell near the grave of Lianna!

We are almost certain that Mizinets knows the secret of the birth of Snow, but John himself is not yet aware of who his mother is. Will the little finger tell him about this? Is that why the new King of the North is so angry? Or because Peter again does everything possible to destroy the Stark family and take control of everything himself?

6. Speaking of John, I want to know: where he is on these shots and from what runs?

John and Tormund are clearly in a panic when they run away from someone in the snow. And they are dressed like Wildfires (nothing is surprising for Tormund, but John seems to not have to go back to the days behind the Wall).

Why did they go to the North? Does it start with white walkers? Or are they running to help Bran and Mira?

7. If Melisandra is on the Dragonstone, then why and how did she end up there?

Judging by the frames, Melisandra is really on the Dragonstone, where Deyneris and her team are to be. So this was the purpose of the Red Woman? Does she believe that Denis is the "promised prince," or is it just trying to unite them with John?

8. What does the new armor of the Mountain mean? Is the battle between the Kligans brothers waiting for us?

The fan theory about the battle between Mountain and Dog is called Kliganboyl. Fans claim that the brothers will fight to the death in the battle of ages.

The sixth season broke these hopes to smithereens when Tommen banned the court duel, but this did not stop the true believers. And the new armor Mountains in the trailer of the seventh season just made the heat in the hearts of the fans.

9. Why did not we see the dog himself in the trailer?

And his companions, by the way, too. Toros from the World and Berik Dandarion are absent in the trailer. However, in the promo photo there is a Dog, and, judging by him, there is a warrior somewhere in the North.

Behind the Wall it? And with whom? Will he see Ariu again? Will he go to Winterfell to help Toros and Beriku in the war against the King of the Night?

10. Where is Arya going?

Arya's list still contains the people she was about to kill, but some of them are in the north, and others are in the south. Cersei, Hora, Toros, Berik, Melissandra - will the younger Stark kill them all?

Judging by the trailer, the girl is somewhere in the north. Is she going to Winterfell? Can she stumble on the way to the Dog or Melissandra and shorten her list?

The real reunion that we want to see to death is Arya and Nimery, the fierce-revolutionist, whom Stark drove away in the first season (on the Royal Road, remember?).

The books have clear hints that now Nimeria is leading a pack of wolves somewhere on the lands of Västerås, and we very much hope that HBO and George Martin will return Arie to her faithful friend.

11. Did Euron finish his fleet? If so, is he attacking the ship?

The trailer shows Theon Greyjoy in a serious battle on a flaming ship. Is there any chance that this is a collision between an uncle and a nephew? What if Eureon finally caught up with Theon? For the older Greyjoy, it would seem reasonable to join forces with Sersei against his relatives and Deyneris, especially since for the personnel from the sixth season, it can not be said that Targarien is tuned to a conjugal union with an intriguer from the Iron Islands.

12. How can you even try to fight the dragon on the battlefield?

We see in the trailer how Drogon and the army of the Dothraqis were confronted with the Lannister forces. It is not yet clear how competitive this battle is. Drogon grew to an incredible size, so maybe it will be enough to exhale a couple of times with fire and effectively finish the battle?

Maybe there are medieval methods designed to combat dragons, but we just do not know about them? Or Lannister is already like croutons?

13. And last but not least: it looks like the hand of Jorakh, covered with a "gray witch". Did his flesh rot? Or burned? Is he going to amputate his arm?

The books say that burning the affected area or amputation can cure "gray sickness" and the patient will survive. It seems, at this moment from the trailer, it's Jorah, who puts his hand (which looks very much "not very") in a special device for amputation. However, we can not be sure, only guesses. But, on the other hand, whose hand can this be?

In any case, it is interesting to know whether the mission of Deeneris will be meaningless for Jorakh, and if not, well, it will be interesting to look at the methods of treating the gray sickness in Västerås.

Do you have any guesses about the answers to these questions? What details of the two trailers of the "Game of Thrones" series you noticed? Did you have more of the listed thirteen questions?
