Preparation for planting

The main factor for determining the timing of the placement of zucchis zucchini seeds in the ground is well-warmed soil. This vegetable culture is quite demanding on the quality and composition of the soil on the plot. That is why immediately before planting, mandatory soil improvement is required. For example, in areas with peat soil, it is necessary to make compost or humus, as well as a small amount of loamy soil. In the presence of a sandy substrate during the digging process, experts recommend adding sod and ordinary sawdust. Loamy and clayey soil also needs to be enriched with these components.

Landing

The soil for cultivation of this vegetable culture must be thoroughly dug. It is better to give preference to areas with a light ground, on which potatoes, onions, cabbage and legumes were grown in the previous season.

Planting should be carried out depending on soil and climatic conditions in the first ten days of May. The deadline is mid June. The technology of planting zucchis squash on open ground beds is simple. However, the following rules should be observed:

  • Before placing in the ground, the seeds should be soaked in a weak solution of sodium or potassium humate;
  • Fertilizer must be applied directly to each planting hole;
  • The standard distance between depressions should be in the range of 0.8-0.9 m;
  • The distance between the rows is not less than one meter.

It is very important that the planting material is not deeply buried - by four to six centimeters, not more.

Peculiarities of growing

Zucchis squash, which is mostly only positive, is somewhat more demanding than the usual varieties of this vegetable culture. To grow it, you need to choose a well-lit area. Soil should have a normal acidity index.

Further care for this vegetable culture consists in loosening the soil between the rows, as well as in weeding, watering and, as necessary, in the dressing. Abundant irrigation is necessary for the plant at the stage of flowering and fruiting.

In this period it is not bad to produce additional fertilizing with liquid mineral fertilizers, for example, phosphorus-potassium fertilizers. And even before flowering, you can make a liquid mullein. This is an optional exercise, but it will increase the yield of the plant.

Fruit collection

Experts call several stages of the maturity of the fruit of zucchis marrow. For consumption in fresh form it is necessary to collect during "milk" maturity, when the weight reached half a kilogram. The next stage is technical maturity. It comes when the fruit is ripe, but its seeds are not yet fully ripened. In this case "zukesha" zucchini is suitable for culinary processing and further storage.

Reviews

Many domestic truck farmers have long since abandoned the cultivation of weaving varieties of this vegetable culture in favor of more compact bush varieties. Among the latter the leading position is occupied by zucchis. Reviews about this cultivar are mostly very good.

Summer residents consider this common shrub in our kitchen gardens a kind that combines several parameters at once: high seed germination, excellent yield and taste qualities of the fruit. The skin of a young crop of this variety has a pronounced beautiful green color, it is delicate and incredibly tender.

Judging by the reviews, in conditions of growing in the open ground on household plots in Moscow suburbs and regions with the same climatic indices, the "tsukesh" squash is shaping the fruits that are equal in size and attractive in appearance. Our holiday-makers use them everywhere for making many second courses and salads, for canning for the winter season.
