The electoral process

Elections take place every four years. Are indirect. This means that each state has a certain number of "votes" of electors, depending on the number of people living. There are 538 of them all over the country.

The victory is awarded to the candidate, who has more.

Candidates are compelled to fight for each region. After all, often the victory is determined by only 2-3 voices of the least populated states.

Such an electoral system is often criticized. But nevertheless, it neutralizes the availability of voter bribery.

But it has not changed since the founding of the United States and it is not planned to modify the system in the future.
