What is and how much the suture is after cesarean section

Each pregnant woman in her own way perceives the words "Caesarean section". Some believe that this is the worst thing that can happen at all, as one would like, of course, to give birth naturally, most. And others - that this is some kind of miracle, thanks to which doctors can save the life not only of the mother, but of the child. But later, more important questions arise: in what form will the stomach be? Will you see the seam after cesarean? How many he heals? What exercises, exercises in general can be performed and when it is already allowed to start physical exercises, loads?

Every pregnant woman tries to find out more about this important process before giving birth. And one of these moments is the awareness of the need for COP, and its various consequences for the female body. It is always better to be prepared for different situations than to be in a position where you do not know how and what to do.

COP - a cavitary extensive operation, in which several soft tissue balls are dissected, and then they are joined successively by sutures. Most often, women are concerned about the stomach and suture after cesarean. At first, the seam delivers a lot of painful sensations, so doctors recommend not neglecting pain medication that will help you start walking and not experiencing such severe pain.

In the first weeks, the suture after cesarean section will brighten up against the background of the rest of the abdominal skin, while having a red or even sometimes a violet hue, will also be somewhat embossed. Do not worry, over time it will turn into a lighter, smoother and almost invisible. During a long healing period in the seam area, itching can often be felt, numbness, slight burning and unpleasant tingling.

The seam after cesarean section on the abdomen can be superimposed both by silk threads, and by bioresorbable. The first is usually removed after 7 days after the operation, and such as vikril, catgut, makson dissolve over time themselves. This takes approximately 1 to 3 months, depending on the type of thread itself.

The suture itself does not require special supernatural care. Only carefully enough with an antiseptic solution (zebra or iodine) to treat it and apply self-adhesive comfortable bandages. To remove them, you can soften them with non-corrosive water, using a damp soft sponge or under a shower. This will help to remove bandages without unpleasant sensations.

To relieve pain on the abdomen, which brings a suture after cesarean section, doctors recommend temporarily wearing a bandage. It helps to keep the soft tissues of your abdomen in a rather immobile state, and accordingly move almost without painful sensations. Internal and external wounds are at rest, so that the suture heals faster. When feeding a baby it is recommended to spread a small pillow on the stomach, which will soften the touch of the baby and give the feeding less discomfort.

As well as after any operation, COP may be accompanied by some complications, when it is necessary to consult a doctor immediately:

- a feeling of severe pain, which the suture carries after cesarean section;

- copious yellowish or spotting from the incision site;

- seam divergence;

- temperature increase.

Recovery after cesarean in every woman occurs for different times. Here much depends on the current psychological perception, and on the physique, and on age. But on average it takes somewhere 6 weeks. The strength and elasticity of the muscles of your abdomen will return gradually. In the first weeks it is important not to be too hasty with any physical exercises. It should be remembered that the seam after cesarean section is not only external, but also internal scars, and they also need time for healing completely. According to various estimates, all this can take about a year, so have patience.
