Buying a brand new toilet, hardly any of us think about what it is made of. Paying attention to the appearance, the eminent manufacturer, forms, dimensions and so on, we do not suspect that the most important part of it is in the middle. Without internal filling, even the most expensive and exquisite compact will not work. The ceramics from which such plumbing is made is a durable and durable material (unless, of course, you managed to purchase the cheapest of doubtful polymers and low-grade clay or a variant with microcracks). But whether it will perform its functions qualitatively depends on what kind of toilet fittings the manufacturer has supplied. If the latter still saved on the components or for some reason the design failed (for example, because of the quality of the water), then you will have to personally purchase the "insides" of the compact.

For this it is necessary to understand what includes the technical kit of sanitary ware. Its tank consists of several elements, interacting and working harmoniously. They are called "toilet fittings". In addition, there are other components of the common internal system - a siphon with a water seal, which does not allow to spread unpleasant odor, flexible structure, fasteners.

Returning to our weirs, we note that there are two types of valves. The function of one is to recruit water, and the other serves to lower it. Accordingly, they are called "shut-off valves for the toilet bowl" and "drain". Usually these mechanisms do not depend on each other, each of them can be replaced autonomously in case of a breakdown. When replacing them, focus on different types of water supply. She can spill into the tank left / right or bottom. It is more preferable to buy plumbing with a lower feed, since the devices in them are at the bottom of the tank, they work almost silently.

Water stop valves for the toilet are a design for recruiting water with a function of overlapping when the tank is full. In appearance it can be a piston or a membrane one. The latter type of valve is now more common, it can be found more often than others. The drainage system allows the compact to function smoothly, opening and closing the water discharge opening in time. Modern fittings for the toilet can control the flow of water (which means it saves your budget). The drain valve has two parts, and the cover closing the tank includes a button consisting of two halves (slightly larger and slightly smaller in size). When you click on one part of the button, the maximum reset is triggered, and on the other - the economical mode. There is also a stop-system, when water is pressed down when the drain is pressed, and to stop it, press the button again.

Both drainage and locking mechanisms, unfortunately, do not last very long. You will easily notice when they come into disrepair - water will leak or it will not be fully accumulated. It is much more convenient and more profitable not to bother with repairing individual parts inside the valve, but buying an entirely new valve. Its service life is directly dependent on the quality of the water supplied. But, as a rule, it is about five years.
