You can buy a water level in any construction shop at a very affordable price. However, there are times when there is no time to buy. At the same time, it's possible to make a water level with your own hands. To do this, you need a transparent section of the hollow hose with the appropriate length, as well as a marker, a marker or other devices for applying control marks both on the tube itself and on objects. The water surface at opposite ends is set at the same level. It will correspond to the horizon line. To check this, the filled ends of the tube, connected together, are translated into a vertical position. At first water will move up and down. Then stop at the edges on one straight line. For this operation, the length and diameter do not matter. If the test fails to achieve the final result, it is necessary to find a hindrance that prevents the free movement of water inside the hose. To fill the tube, it is necessary to place one end in a vessel with clean water, keeping the other below the level of the container. The liquid is sucked in until it starts to flow out of the free part. After this, the device is taken for both ends. They are held together. This allows you to make sure that the water level is the same and is near the ends. Now the device is ready for use. If the water level differs, it is most likely caused by the accumulation of air bubbles inside. To remove them, you can pass additional liquid through the tube. You can also raise the ends up and shake it several times. To make the water level, as well as the emerging bubbles easier to see, a small amount of food color is added.

Application

How to use the water level? It is more convenient to work together. If it is planned, for example, to install a false ceiling, then along the entire perimeter it is necessary to draw a horizontal line at the level of its placement. To do this, the ends of the water level are bred in different corners of the room and kept close to the wall. Perform this task can be at any height, because in the first stage only make reference marks. With her alone it will be difficult to cope. After the water in the tube has settled, markers on the walls are made opposite its level. If the surface is pasted or painted, then it's best to make the points on stickers pre-attached to the right places.

To transfer a point to another corner, one end is set on the already marked section, and the other end is placed in the intended markup location. But if there is no possibility to work with someone in a pair, then to each end of the level a wire loop is attached. It is fixed with adhesive tape.
