VSCO: what is this? Is there a VSCO for the computer?

There are photographers who have been in the business for many years. At the same time they are not taking photos at all on the camera. Their main tool is a smartphone. Despite the fact that it is possible and so to receive a beautiful shot, it is possible to make each frame much more amazing with the help of various applications. Most of them can not be called unique.

Probably, it happens because the developers are working, not really trying. They simply copy functions, changing the interface. And there are many such programs on the market. Camera tab

Here you can create images using the built-in tools of the VSCO program. How to use it? Not at all difficult. The top panel contains shooting settings, among which the grid or frame, flash, shooting modes, advanced mode, white balance cancel, and the choice of the theme of the application (light or dark).

After all the settings are configured, you can go to the shooting. Here everything is as usual - you need to point the phone at the object, focus, select the point and press the shutter button. If you operate in "free-press" mode, you can adjust the exposure and focus. All the hope here lies in the correctly set white balance by default.

With the release of the eighth version of iOS, an advanced shooting mode appeared in VSCO. What is this mode? In it, in addition to the standard parameters, you can independently adjust the shutter speed and ISO. To select it, click on the icon in the lower left corner of the screen.

The Library tab

This is a library, it contains all the photos that the user worked on in the application. They are displayed in the form of squares of different sizes. In the top panel it is possible to adjust the number of displayed frames. You can also choose which ones to show: only edited, all marked, not yet edited, synchronized via cloud storage. The latter function appeared more recently in the VSCO application. What is it? Users can now start processing the image on one device, and continue on another. The main thing is to enter the same account.

An important function of the library is the management of pictures. You can simply click on the required ones, and they will be downloaded to the Grid, synchronized between the devices, sent to the social network or deleted.

Editing photos

Install VSCO and run - easily. But how to edit the pictures? To do this, there is a button in the middle of the bottom panel, clicking on it will open the most interesting - the mode for editing. First, the user sees a list of filters. To apply one of them, tapa is enough. To adjust the intensity, you need to tap again. By default, there are a dozen filters, but you can purchase additional ones.

The developers claim that they invented each filter from scratch, and not copied from other applications. As a result, VSCO contains the best collection of filters. Do not notice this is not possible, since the pictures after editing become very atmospheric.

In addition to filters, there is in the application and the standard adjustment of photos - contrast, brightness, sharpness, etc. Pictures can be aligned and cropped.

It should be noted that editing preserves the original photo in the cache memory of the program, you can at any time return to the original version. Each set costs from 2 to 3 dollars, but you can buy all the sets at once for $ 7, which will save you a lot.

The Discover tab

If you need inspiration or just want to admire the beautiful pictures that are made with the application, this tab is what you need. Here the creators introduce users to interesting works and spread out digests of the best cadres every week. The section itself is divided into four parts. In the first the best works of photographers are selected. The second collected photo stories. In the third one, you can follow the pictures of your favorite photographers. The fourth is a search.

Profile tab

The top tab is the user profile. Here the best pictures are published, photo histories are created and the frames you like are collected in the collection.

Settings tab

These are settings that are nothing special from other programs. Everything is standard: information, data mapping, licenses, links to social networks. You can immediately restore all purchases, if necessary.

The application has changed a lot during its existence. It remains the leading for mobile photographers. Now this is not just a photo editor, but a full-fledged tool for professionals. It should be recalled that there is no version of VSCO for the computer. Yes, some sites, with the appropriate query in the search engine, offer to download and install the application on the PC. The only option is when some emulator is used. For example, on a PC, you can install the Bluestacks program, and already with it, start VSCO. Android-emulators have long existed, but for iOS such programs have not yet been invented.
