Varieties of tomato stems. How to care for tomato stems

Now, increasingly, truck farmers prefer low-growth varieties of tomatoes. And this is not surprising, since they are rather unpretentious and very easy to care for. Among low-growing varieties of tomatoes often come across and stems. What are they, and how to grow them? These questions are answered in this article.

General information

Shtambovymi are called tomatoes that do not require pasynkovaniya and have a round shape and the average size of the fruit. The root system of these plants is shallow, but their trunk is thick, erect and stable. Bushes of such tomatoes are small, so in one area they can be planted 2 times more and get an excellent harvest. These plants are not able to curl, but under the weight of the fruits can lie down on the ground. In this case, they still continue to grow and do not require the installation of supports or other garters.

All varieties of tomato stems are very resistant to sudden changes in weather, they are unpretentious and do not need abundant watering. Most of these tomatoes are planted in the open ground, so when choosing a variety in the first place, you should pay attention to their maturation rate and zoning. Seedlings of stamping varieties can be freely purchased both in specialized stores and on the market.

Description

Stamp varieties of tomatoes have a corrugated plate. This feature greatly increases the ability of the plant not only to photosynthesis, but also to specific assimilation. Femoral shoots or stepsons usually appear later approximately two weeks later than in hybrids or common varieties. They almost do not develop and therefore take very little nutrients. It is because of poorly developed stepchilds that the tomato stems yield high yields, which are advantageous against the background of other varieties.

The skin of tomatoes is thin, but quite strong. The plant has one trunk, and this greatly simplifies harvesting. Judge for yourself, their branches do not block the aisles, so a person can freely pass between plants with special equipment. Such tomatoes tolerate transportation well and can be stored at room temperature for up to 20-25 days.

Cultivation

Varieties of tomato stems always get along well. Ogorodniki grow them with pleasure. Seedlings of such tomatoes do not stretch and do not fall under the weight of the leaves. In addition, they are convenient because they can be grown even in an apartment, on glass balconies and loggias, as well as on the verandas of private houses, using flower pots for this.

Grades of tomato tomatoes are planted at a distance of 27-37 cm from each other, and between the rows leave space of 55-65 cm. In order for the plants to be compact, they do not need to be watered and fed, especially for nitrogen fertilizers. It should be noted that tall varieties can break in strong winds, while the stamens are more resistant to various unfavorable conditions, so they can be safely planted in open ground.

Fast sipping tomatoes

Stamp varieties of tomatoes differ from each other in their early ripeness. Take, for example, a quickly sung Boni-M. This is a sham bush, having a height of 25-35 cm, ripens after 80-85 days from the time of emergence. This variety is not necessarily planted in the soil in the form of finished seedlings. The best seeds of tomatoes can be sown immediately to the ground. The fruits of the Boni-M variety are small in size, they are very fragrant and tasty. They have a bright red color and a flat round shape. One fetus usually weighs 65-85 g, but specimens come up to 220 g.

Early varieties include Bushman tomatoes. Their main advantage is the fact that they perfectly tolerate the drought and can spend relatively long time without irrigation. This is a beautiful, stocky and powerful plant, whose height reaches 55 cm. Bushman's fruits are medium-sized, having a rounded shape. They weigh on average 110-130 g, and with abundant watering - up to 250 g. These tomatoes have excellent commercial qualities: attractive appearance, excellent taste and relatively long shelf life.

Medium-ripening varieties

They are tomatoes Denis. The height of the bush is 35-55 cm. This is a large-bodied tomato fruit, one fruit weighing 250-300 g. They are sugar, but they do not crack, they have a pink color and a rounded shape. Despite the fact that the fruits are rather large, the plant does not require either pasyning or garters, since a powerful bush is capable of withstanding such loads. The main advantage of this variety is resistance to various pests and diseases.

The next grade is the Lion Heart. This plant height of 55-63 cm is very resistant to defeat by late blight. Its fruits are bright red, not prone to cracking. They are smooth and dense. The fruits are large and weigh on average from 320 to 420 g.

New varieties for open ground

Selective works are carried out constantly. Therefore, every year there are new products in this area. The best and already tested tomatoes for open ground stems usually have large fruits and a stem length of up to 80 cm. These include tomatoes Luban, Siberian trump, Uvalen. Also for these purposes, newer varieties of early-ripened tomatoes, such as Flash, Pink Souvenir, Sunny Bunny, Buyan, Blush of Petersburg, Shustra, Leader of the Redskins will suit.

But the greatest demand among truck farmers is enjoyed by ultra-ripened tomatoes and their hybrids. The fact is that such varieties can be grown without seedlings, even in regions where the summer is cold and short. But the best seeds of tomatoes are to be sown at the very beginning of May, under shelter and on warmed soil. For this purpose, varieties are suitable, in which the fruit weight does not exceed 100-150 g, and the height of the stem of the plant is about 50 cm. Such tomatoes usually do not undergo pasynkovaniyu, and they can take their seeds from them. These include tomatoes Buyan, Sunny bunny, Flash, Duckling, Pink souvenir.

As for the hybrids, the seeds harvested from them are not recommended for planting, as they are often underdeveloped and they do not transfer all the original properties of this variety. Therefore, it is impossible to grow good tomatoes from them. Recommended sorts of tomato stems for planting in the ground from among hybrids that can mature even in the vicinity of the Northern capital: Red Chief, Ninulya, Shustry, Katya, Solerosso, Blush of Petersburg. There are also pre-early hybrids with large fruits weighing 200 g or more. These include Gayas Bekseev and Lucky. All of the above varieties of tomato stems will grow well in greenhouses.
