Turtle-ninja Donatello: appearance, weapons, character

In the 90's, children's cartoons about four turtles fighters fighting for justice were at the height of popularity. One of the participants of the fearless four is Donatello's ninja turtle. What does the Don look like and for what do cartoon fans like it?

Friends among themselves call him just Donnie. Turtle-ninja Donatello wears a purple blindfold. The name was given in honor of the famous creator of the Renaissance - Donatello Bardi. However, with the famous sculptor Donnie has little in common, since he specializes more in computer technology, mechanics and oriental martial arts.

The Donatello Ninja Turtle was created by Peter Lairst in the late 80's. Subsequently, Donny became the favorite character not only of Laird, but of all American teenagers. All because the hero combined the properties of almost a superman: he was very intelligent, understood computer technology, and the use of force was decided only in extreme cases.

Donatello also has nicknames: Wunderkind, Technocherpa and Don-san.

Character

Turtle-ninja Donatello differs from his brethren with outstanding mental abilities. He constantly digs into some devices, and often uses scientific words in everyday life.

Donatello is more immersed in the world of science and technology than in reality. Therefore, he does not uphold the right to leadership in the team, but simply follows the majority. However, this does not prevent him from kicking at times with his mental superiority. He likes the fact that in many emergency situations it is his head that saves turtles-ninjas.

However, Donatello is not without a sense of humor, so his broad knowledge does not turn the turtle into a bore. Donny often demonstrates non-repudiation, which is often used by his brothers. This is especially true of Mikey, with whom Donny communicates most often. Donatello even gave a promise to Leo to follow his brother, because he constantly finds himself in ridiculous situations.

All ninjas live practically in one room in the sewer. But Donatello manages to somehow restrict personal space, even in this situation. A turtle in a purple bandage is constantly digging through various devices or programming something, so it's more comfortable for him to remain alone. But Donatello with pleasure demonstrates his brothers later development.

In the animated series, which was shown in 1987, Donnie is given the leading role in the team. He takes responsibility for the success of the operations on himself and first suffers if something goes wrong. Brothers listen to his opinion and are proud of the child prodigy.

In the 2003 cartoon, the turtle in the violet bandage is characterized by an incredibly calm character. In 2012, the creators of the cartoon wrote such a plot, according to which Donny secretly falls in love with the journalist April. And also this tortoise has a proprietary scab in the teeth.

In the films, the directors try to portray Donatello as a wit and, if possible, combine it into a comic duet with the untiring Mikey. Donny turns out to be the friendliest of all four: he has a wonderful relationship with almost all the positive characters, including April O'Neill and Sensei Splinter.

The first film, which was filmed in 1990 on the basis of comics Mirage Studios, is the "Ninja Turtles". In this film, ninja reptiles teamed up with April journalist and avenger Casey Jones to defeat Shredder. The picture was a success, so in 1991 it was decided to withdraw the sequel, in which Donatello and his friends again resume their struggle with Shredder, who planned to create his own army of mutants.

Also Donatello figured in the paintings of 1993, 2007 and 2014. His character and image in various adaptations did not change much. But in the picture of 2014 in the appearance of Donnie appeared many funny details. The creators decided to emphasize the sphere of interest of the turtle, so in the frame it is constantly hung with some technical devices, and the Donatello stick has the property of transforming.
