Mental health issues have long been of concern to humanity, and in recent years, with a modern rhythm of life, the range of these issues has become very specific. Increasingly, our compatriots turn to psychologists, as it has become customary abroad. And how not to think about your mental balance, when the fuss and life problems can easily knock the ground out from under your feet. What makes us afraid to go insane?

The fear of going insane is especially acute in students of psychological faculties with the specialization "clinical psychology", in future psychiatrists. But every citizen, exposed to prolonged exposure to negative factors, is not in vain afraid for his health.

About the disease shows the manifestation of several features at once, in a certain set.

As for the latter, many people are daily under the oppressive pressure of circumstances. They need to get rid of or learn to give vent to emotions. Take for example a couple of different life situations. And let's see how it would be possible to get out of them.

The world around us is pretty tough. Every day we face rudeness and aggression. And our self-esteem constantly jumps up and down, because it directly depends on the opinions of other people. Imagine what a person is, if even close people do not put anything at work, they do not appreciate their work, but they do not have friends. In this situation, not only will self-esteem be at zero, but will not go crazy for long. What should we do in such a situation to maintain mental equilibrium and mental health? First, to reconcile with the fact that the surrounding people and especially loved ones have not changed. As out of the skin do not climb, but they will still see in you the one they see. Of course, it is necessary to protect yourself as much as possible from a society of this kind of critics. But you should not hide from the world either. The main thing is to erect a wall around yourself to protect your self-esteem, a wall not from people, but a wall that protects against unreasonable criticism, empty attacks and accidentally directed aggression on you. And secondly, link your self-esteem with a more suitable factor for this - with your own objectively real successes, talents. Nobody sees, and you grow above yourself. So let your self-esteem depends on the real results of your activity, rather than on random critical phrases it is not clear from whom. And your successes should be evaluated in relation to you, and not in comparison with anyone whatsoever. Only in this way will you acquire the meaning of life, self-reliance. Only in this way you will feel like a person, with a capital letter of this word. And insanity will bypass you, as the most that neither is a healthy, sensible and stable person.

Of course, life can give us more tangible, weighty troubles, which, it would seem, do not depend on our efforts. And, nevertheless, most of them can be met with dignity and experience. Feeling of fear and horror of the experience (post-traumatic stress) can ruin life for many years. Here, only therapy can create a miracle. The death of a loved one is the most painful stage in the life of everyone. But it also passes with time. But the burden of caring for a sick relative can be crazy, since it is a continuing factor, which we can not influence. How not to go insane in this situation? Place an anchor - advise psychologists. This saving anchor can be anything that helps you to return to yourself, pulls you out of the current situation and reminds you of true worthy life goals for which you can turn mountains. For someone, the pledge is the anchor given during marriage registration - to be near both in sickness and in health (if you have to take care of your spouse). For others - the desire to give to the elderly parents ...

In addition, each person has sufficient internal resources to not go insane in any life situation. Thanks to them, we can be called opportunists. It's just that sometimes a person needs to apply some effort to find inside these internal resources. Be it a love for music, nature, craving for the unknown, caring for children, a rich inner spiritual world.

Your well-being is in your hands. Do not suffer, do not wait for a miracle, rely only on yourself. Take something that will improve your condition. Ask for help, even if it is not in your rules, the help of friends, relatives, a psychologist. They will not let her go insane. Refer to your own internal resources!
