Theater them. Stanislavsky in Moscow: repertoire and reviews

Moscow Theater . Stanislavsky works in the genre of drama, he founded in 1948. In 2013, he was given the name "Stanislavsky". Artistic director is B. Yukhananov. In Moscow there is also a musical theater (MAMT, opened in 1941), which also bears the name of the legendary Stanislavsky. His repertoire includes opera and ballet productions.

History of MAMT

Musical Theater. Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko appeared as a result of the merger of two studios: opera and drama at the Bolshoi Theater under the leadership of KS Stanislavsky and the musical under the Moscow Art Theater, which was organized by VI Nemirovich-Danchenko. Each of them was engaged in her room, according to her program and had her own repertoire.

Since 1926, both studios have been housed in the same building, where the music theater is now located. They worked independently of each other, each had its own directorate. The only thing that united them was the orchestra, which accompanied the performances of both studios. Soon each turned into an independent theater.

In 1929, the ballet troupe created by V. Krieger joined the studio of Vladimir Ivanovich. The union with the Stanislavsky Theater occurred in 1941, after the death of Konstantin Sergeyevich. The repertoire included operas and ballets of contemporaries: T. Khrennikova, S. Slonimsky, D. Kabalevsky and others.

During the Second World War theater was not evacuated, he continued to work and gave performances even when the battle for Moscow was going on.

Since 1951 the pupil of Vladimir Ivanovich - L. Baratov - has taken the post of the main director. He was the first to perform the production of S. Prokofiev's opera War and Peace on the Moscow stage. Its premiere took place in 1957.

Then the place L. Baratov took L. Mikhailov. The theater began to actively cooperate with the Berlin "Komishe Opera", with the directors V. Felsenstein, G. Kupfer, with the ballet-master T. Schilling and composers-contemporaries.

History of the electric theater

Drama Theater. Stanislavsky has a rich history. That building, which he now occupies, exactly 100 years ago, in 1915, was converted from a lucrative home into an electric theater "Ars". It was the largest and well-equipped cinema hall at that time, which closed when Soviet power came to the city. After that, the theater temporarily operated different theaters. But they all did not take him long. Then the room was transferred to the theater of drama named after K. Stanislavsky. It happened when the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko opera studios merged into one. The students of Konstantin Sergeyevich, who were trained in dramatic art, separated from the opera studio and became the first artists of the new theater. At that time, M. Yanshin headed the troupe. In the 1950s and 1960s, there was a magnificent cast of actors from such famous artists as E. Leonov, M. Menglet, V. Korenev, E. Urbansky, L. Satanovsky.

Continuation of M. Yanshin's case was BA Lvov-Anokhin, who stood at the helm of the theater in 1963. The repertoire at that time was quite unusual for the Soviet era. The most successful production was considered "Antigone" based on the play of J. Anouil, where the main role was played by E. Nikishchikhina.

The 70s of the 20th century were a crisis period, which ended when the main director was AA Popov. He realized the productions that influenced all theatrical art - "Vassa Zheleznogo" and "Adult daughter of a young man".

In the 1980s, A. Tovstonogov became the leader. Then the premiere of the performances "Noah and His Sons" based on the play by Y. Kim, "Impromptu-Fantasy" by V. Tokarev, "Housewarming in the Old House" by A. Kravtsov, "The Threshold" by A. Dudarev and others took place.

From 1990 to 2013 The theater was replaced by many managers. In 2013, Boris Yukhananov was chosen artistic director on a competitive basis. In the same year the theater decided to give a new name, which would reflect the history of the building, too, so now it is called the Stanislavsky Electrotheater. This name is given also to the second meaning - "theater of light". Reconstruction of the building, updating its appearance completed only now - in late January 2015. A large hall-transformer was created and an additional building with a small stage was built. The opening of the renovated theater took place on January 26, 2015.
