The railway is bypassing Ukraine. Map of the railways of Russia. Construction of railways

The map of the railways of Russia is one of the largest and most ramified in the world. This type of transport is of exceptional importance in the organization and clear functioning of the commodity market of the state. The second, but no less important, destination is passenger transportation, which accounts for about 40% of the total number of railroad movements. Also important is the role of rail communication in establishing links with other states, and in particular with the members of the Commonwealth of Independent States. But recently, tense relations with Ukraine led to a project to build a road around the neighboring country.

Historical background

The construction of an alternative route was carried out back in the Soviet times. This is a section of traffic along the Moscow-Adler highway (this is a railway bypassing Ukraine). Then there were no problems with crossing the borders of the republics, because in fact they were a single country. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, too, there were no special difficulties, because the countries remained on good terms and accepted an agreement that transit trains are not subject to border inspection. That is, the composition was to follow without delays from the capital of Russia and to the final destination - Adler.

But already in those days there were thoughts about how to improve the high-speed traffic on this site. The reason for this was the additional difficulties that arise with any problem on the route of this train. After all, if this highway is closed, the nearest possible route will be laid through Volgograd. The team will arrive at the destination with a delay of almost half a day.

The second problem was the impossibility of quality maintenance on the whole site. It is also very difficult to control the velocity flow when crossing the border four times.

Since the Russian railways could not develop in a holistic manner without this branch, in 2008 experts developed a project to replace the route. It was predicted that construction will begin by 2018. But the events in Ukraine in 2014 led to the fact that all terms were maximally reduced and moved. After all, now another problem is added - border and customs control. Under such conditions, it is impossible to ensure the comfort and safety of passengers on the road. Therefore, it was decided to build a similar highway, only on the territory of the Russian Federation.

Choose an option

The construction of railways is a very delicate and expensive business. For this project, the state initially allocated four hundred and eighty billion rubles. These funds were supposed to go to circumnavigate a single site located in the territory of the neighbor country. At this distance of thirty-seven kilometers is the station Zorinovka, which will soon be cut off.

The first variant of the backup line was the main line connecting Prokhorovka, Zhuravka, Chertkovo and Bataysk. In total, the length of this site is 750 kilometers. This would significantly increase the network capacity in the direction from the center of the country to the south. The development of the project was envisaged by the program for the development of the transport system of the Russian Federation. The construction of this segment should take two years - from 2018 to 2020.

But due to the maximum contraction of terms, the construction plan was revised. Several variants of the project were developed by specialists:

  • The first - connects Zhuravka and Sheptukhovka, the length of the line is 149 kilometers;
  • The second - passes through Kantemirovka and Sheptukhovka, the length of the line is 146 kilometers;
  • The third - cross Zhuravka and Millerovo, the length of the line - 122 kilometers.

Among all three proposals, the shortest section of the railway network won. This was the decisive factor in the decision. After all, the goal was not only to ensure security, but also to make changes without a special feeling for passengers. People should get to that destination as comfortably as possible, and this can not be guaranteed by lengthening the way.

Construction benefits

The railway bypassing Ukraine will create many new stations. This in turn will lead to the emergence of jobs, as well as to the revitalization of settlements that are near. Historically, it has happened that in the places where the railway is laid, development of the terrain inevitably takes place.

That is, such a positive result will soon be observed in Zaytsevka and Sergeevka in the Voronezh region, as well as in Sownove, Kuteykovo, Vinogradovka, Kolodez and Bochenkovo in the Rostov region. It is also planned to build a bridge over the Belaya Kalitva River.

Disadvantages of construction

Although initially it was believed that the railway bypassing Ukraine would be a good solution to the problem, however, not everything is as smooth. On the one hand, some settlements will get a boost in development, but others, on the contrary, will end up in isolation.

The map of the railways will be arranged in such a way that a couple of districts in the Rostov and Lugansk regions will be cut off from life. Particularly grieving about this issue Chertkov residents. For some, the maintenance of the Chertkovo-Millerovo site was the only source of earnings. It was this station that fed the entire locality. And if one half of the population worked directly on the railway, others - lived off the sales at the time of the train stop. Now many people will remain without additional, and someone without basic earnings. The Russian railways of this direction received special profit in the summer. For example, on this stretch for a day in the resort period, up to eighty trains passed. The only solution to this issue is the ability to leave the Chertkovo-Millerovo train and use this line for freight trains.

Disadvantages for Ukrainians

Naturally, the railway, bypassing Ukraine built, will lead to negative consequences for its residents. The population of Markov, Belovodsk and Melovsky districts will be especially affected, since people living there used Russian trains very often. It was very convenient, because in a short time you can cross the border.

While Ukrainians are forced to get to Chertkovo. Residents of the Melovsky district - it's easy, just cross the bridge. The rest use the services of taxi drivers who, for one hundred and fifty rubles, will take them to their destination. However, this is for the time being. In the process of construction, this station will be moved from the border by twenty-five kilometers. The map of the railways identified it near the village of Kuteinikovo. But the problem is that it will only be transit. That is, the trains will not stop here. The nearest stations are located one hundred kilometers from Kuteykovo. From the settlement it is necessary to go either to Millerovo of the Rostov region, or to Kantemirovka of the Voronezh region. If you cover this distance by taxi, it will cost a thousand rubles, which not everyone can afford.

Stage 2015

It was in 2015 that the construction of railways began to bypass Ukraine. Then the first section was built, which should connect the settlements of Zhuravlevka and Millerovo. The work is carried out by the Railway Troops. A base was prepared for two railway stations - Zaitsevka and Sergeevka.

Stage 2016

At the next stage of construction, the first link of the rail-grating was laid. The railways of Russia will connect two new stations. Earthwork was almost completed on time. Laying of tracks in the Voronezh region is completed.

Stage 2017

The organization "Railways of Russia" declares the fulfillment of fifty percent of the project by January 2017. At the final stage of construction, work was carried out in the Kantemirov and Bogucharsky districts. The Minister of Defense through the press center declares that by September of this year the map of the railways of Russia will be supplemented with a new line.
