The essence of the story A. Kuprin "Lilac Bush". Comparative characteristics of Nicholas and Vera Almazov

A wonderful Russian classic, who brilliantly succeeded in short and long stories (Sufamif is enough to recall), AI Kuprin was born in 1870 in the family of a hereditary nobleman. A man who sincerely loved his Motherland, experienced a severe emigration. In 1936 he was allowed to return to Russia, but the writer did not find the strength to recover from the experience, and in 1938 he died in Leningrad. The best years of life fell on the turn of the century. There was talent, a desire to write, there were friends and family. AI Kuprin, a vivacious and extraordinarily prolific writer, was incredibly popular in the years on which his creative work flourished. Being a member of the Chekhovs (at one time he took care of the sister of the playwright Masha, and even competed in this venture with his friend Bunin), the talented prose writer well mastered the advice of the classic about the brevity of the narrative as an indicator of talent.

Nikolai Almazov is a typical intellectual

On the appearance of her husband in Kuprin's story "The Lilac Bush" nothing is said, and Vera is described as a beauty. She is mobile, she has a beautiful, nervous face. In the fact that she loves her husband madly, you do not doubt for a second. If a woman is next to a loved one, she is usually happy. Beautiful, loving and beloved, very energetic, resourceful and enterprising - this is the characteristic of Vera Almazova.

Her beloved husband, it can be assumed, was also good-after all, for something she loved him so selflessly. AI Kuprin in two phrases describes a hesitant, initiativeless, subject to decadent moods of man. An annoying alarmist is the brief characteristic of Nikolai Almazov. Although, how not to panic when threatened with the title of a qualified engineer, and with it the hope for a decent, comfortable life. Everything was given to him with great difficulty. He twice failed at the entrance exams to the Academy of the General Staff. If it were not for the wife, there would be no second or third (successful) income. The comparative characteristics of Nicholas and Vera Almazovs are clearly not in favor of the former.

There are people who give everything harder than others, and this does not produce fierce enthusiasm, but, on the contrary, plunges them into despondency. But, obviously, he is kind, recognizes the primacy of his wife in his own way. Everything rests on her. Wife difficulties seem to be whipping, she is frantically looking for and finding a way out of the situation.

In the burning hut will go ...

The comparative characteristics of Nicholas and Vera Almazov do not mean that they are antagonists, but rather that they complement each other.

The story begins with the arrival of the extremely upset husband home - he hardly waits for the moment when the wife opens the door to him. He falls into an armchair, squeezes his hands to a crunch, throws a briefcase, flings drawings. At the moment, life is over for him or passed by. Irritation, he tears at his wife. And so, obviously, it was always or often, because the author speaks about Vera's habit of meeting troubles with a cheerful smile.

Although the lieutenant is a man, obviously talented. The last, final drawing of the terrain, according to experts, is made perfectly, it is beautifully painted (illuminized), but the trouble is, at the last moment the tired student at 3 o'clock in the morning puts a green blot. Trying to remove it makes it even worse. To somehow get out of the situation, he draws bushes on this place. But if he immediately turned to Vera for help, maybe everything would have done, because the talents of the secretary are enviable. Throughout the four years of her education she was the husband's right hand. The difficulty is that the teacher, who was given the drawing, did not believe in the existence of the bushes on the spot of the blot, since he knew the site, "according to Nikolai," better than his bedroom. " Word by word, and in the presence of a large number of people, Nikolai was offered an exit to the area the next day in the early morning. Before the lieutenant stands the bleak prospect of a shameful return to the regiment, the inability to receive education in the near future, a public accusation of lying. Nikolai is sour, suffering, muttering and idle.

The cell of capitalist Russia

Comparative characteristics of Nicholas and Vera Almazov do not humiliate her husband - he is as it is. Simply Nikolai without Vera would not have taken place, at any rate, as an expert. It was she, Vera Almazova, who stirred him, made her tell everything, came up with a plan, collected and laid her jewelry, including a family ring with a diamond. It was she who found the gardener, persuaded him, persuaded him to pick up workers at night and plant bushes on the site, to cover them with turf so that everything looked natural. Vera interfered with all her fussiness, so she wanted to implement her plan. Everything worked out. The leader was convinced of the existence of the bushes and apologized, explaining all the forgetfulness of old age. The next day, this young woman, who has a typical Russian selfless sacrifice, looked out for her husband (it was absolutely impossible to go with him), instantly understood, felt immediately that everything would be all right further.

Amazing story - capacious, interesting and infinitely cute.

Everything ended wonderfully

A very small story (only 4-5 pages) "Lilac Bush", published in 1894, vividly demonstrates the skill of Kuprin as a novelist. Describing a whole day from life a small (he and wife) family lieutenant, the story presents a fairly clear picture of the time - the relationship of people, Russian characters, the purchasing power of the ruble, finally. A laughing couple walking along the street, holding hands, and provoking the surprise of passers-by, is standing in front of the reader's eyes. The outskirts of the suburbs (because the object depicted in the drawing is obviously outside the city), a young engineer and his beautiful wife are wandering along it. They are happy. Having presented this, it is possible to make the first comparative characteristics of Nicholas and Vera Almazov. The family laughed and at home, looking at each other and simultaneously remembering the same situations of what had happened.

It is necessary to read pre-revolutionary writers at least in order to know which Russia we lost. It is impossible to imagine what happened to this loving couple after 1917 ...
