The collector of heating: how to make the house warmer

The heating collector is the most important device that is used in any boiler or heating system. The main function of the device is the distribution of coolant flows.

The device increases the efficiency of the heating system. The main purpose of the mechanism is the correct distribution of heating circuits along heating circuits. For example, the combination of a warm floor and radiators in one room implies the installation of a two-circuit system, in which case a heating distribution manifold is required.

In private houses heating systems of two kinds are used: one- and two-tube. In the first case, water (heat transfer medium) transfers energy sequentially from the radiator to the radiator, and then returns to the boiler in a closed circle. This combination has been used for many years both in single-storey houses and in high-rise buildings. The system, consisting of two pipes connected in parallel, divides the heat carrier into several streams, which makes it possible to make the pressure in each branch constant.

To create efficient wiring in two-pipe systems, a distribution manifold is used. This device can be equipped with a shut-off regulating or thermostatic valve. This layout was called beam. Thus, the heating collector centrally provides access to the coolant to the required number of heating appliances. It is usually used in underfloor heating systems, for radiator wiring, for connecting convectors and for panel heating.

The use of the device for systems of warm water floor or panel heating makes it possible to obtain a modern and highly efficient system. The heating manifold is often supplemented with thermostatic or shut-off valves, as well as devices that allow to regulate the flow of water in the branches. This ensures a uniform distribution of thermal energy throughout the room. Also, the heating collectors are additionally equipped with electromechanical drives, thermometers and air separators.

In the market there are many models of devices from different manufacturers. Particularly popular are Lovato devices, which provide heating of the coolant (return), transferring it energy through a sealed partition, which has a minimum thickness. If desired, you can expand the functionality of the device.

For this purpose, an opening is provided in the inter-chamber partition, which can be closed with a threaded rod. By twisting or twisting this element, it is possible to convert the heating collector into a water gun. The use of trunk devices ensures the operation of the heating system in both the classical and the combined scheme.
