The Beautiful Demon Abbadon: History and Metamorphosis

Demonology from a fairly extensive occult science has turned into a powerful segment of a commercially attractive idea, although the thought itself is not new - at all times people have found the dark side attractive, sought in the demons of the Allies. Regardless of the fact, there are demons in reality or this is just a mystical belief, one can not deny their presence in the general information space. People want to know more about the demons, they are interested in almost as actively as the stars of the screen or popular musicians. And if the name of Lucifer is at everyone's hearing, the demon Abbadon has gained wide popularity relatively recently. Where did he come from, what he was doing, and in what ways was he presented to people?

Destroyer from Hell: Demon Abbadon

Usually the primary source is Jewish theology, which gradually migrated to Christianity. However, here there are very transparent parallels with the Greek pantheon of the gods. Despite the differences in writing (in different sources - Apollo and Apollo), it is about the same deity. A typical phenomenon for ancient beliefs is the dark side of a luminous deity. The glittering Apollo nevertheless sent morals and ulcers to enemies, fought, killed and destroyed. Similar metamorphoses can be traced in Hindu mythology - the constructive Uma (Shakti) in its dark version appears as a terrible Kali, destroyer and murderer.

In Christian theology the demon Abbadon is one of the princes of Hell, the ruling furies. This is the ruler of the Seventh Circle, unleashing wars, destroying and ruining all life. He is given an important role in Armageddon - Abaddon will lead a horde of predatory locusts, which in revelations is described as a pack of terrible monsters.

Expressive artistic image

For any positive hero you need a powerful and charismatic antagonist, which will allow you to unfold the plot in the right direction. It is the demon Abbadon, as the quintessence of extermination and destruction, is suitable for this purpose in the best possible way. Many believe that even Lucifer loses in this, because his interests are more extensive, sinfulness has too many facets, from perjury to gambling, so Ada has several conditional "units". Each circle of Hell is ruled by a separate higher demon, and against their backdrop Abaddon stands out as a pure and unavoidable evil, without branches. Complete annihilation does not have halftones and compromises, this makes the image of Abaddon even more frightening and expressive.

Fame in the modern world

Computer games, fiction and poetry, musical art and, finally, cinematography - one of the most popular images of evil, which is used to create an expressive artistic effect, it is the demon Abbadon. The photos or other images on which the image of this demonic entity is imprinted are strikingly different from each other. In ancient engravings, it is depicted as a classical devil - with horns, webbed wings - or as a monstrous skeleton covered with pieces of rotting flesh. In his hand Abaddon always holds a murder weapon - a sword, a spear or arrows.

In computer games, the appearance depends on the imagination of the developers, it can be a chthonic monster such as the biblical locust of Armageddon, with teeth, claws and breathing fire, or some kind of humanized embodiment of weapons of destruction. Cinematography in this sense is a little more elegant.

The Supernatural series

Popularization of Abaddon was promoted by the television series Supernatural, where he appears as Knight of Hell, who wished to seize power after the imprisonment of Lucifer. Contrary to the contradictory images in the culture, where he appeared both as a monster and as a pale inexpressive young man wearing black glasses (Bulgakov, Master and Margarita), the creators of the series decided to play in contrast, and then a very feminine demon Abbadon appears. "Supernatural" in general is famous for the non-standard approach to visualization of powerful creatures. Red-haired beauty was very convincing in the role of the knight of Hell.

The beautiful appearance of Abaddon

The role of the demon was played by the actress of Canadian descent Elaine Huffman, nee Kalange. Before appearing on the screen in such an extravagant appearance as the demon Abbadon, the actress actively acted in film - the debut took place at 13 years old. The girl easily bypassed all the competitors in the casting and successfully began acting career.

She managed to create in her own way a charming image of a demon, not burdened by human morality, and at the same time do not overstep the stick. In "Supernatural" Abaddon conquers with some perfect beauty and refinement, manners, an amazing combination of a charming smile and a cold look. In the image created by Elaine Huffman, one can not help believing, without deliberate external aggressiveness Abaddon looks more dangerous, unpredictable and uncompromising, like a real destroyer from the Underworld.
