Russian rapper Pharaoh is an extraordinary and bright personality who has won love and recognition among fans of trap, cloud rap and trillwave music throughout the post-Soviet space. The musician preferred to act under the nickname. In this regard, many fans are interested in the name of the reference Pharaoh. This article contains not only the personal data of the performer, but also information about his life.

Life Path

Pharaoh is a Russian reference, whose biography is interesting and very rich in events. Golub Gleb Gennadyevich is his real name. He was born on January 30 in 1996 in Moscow (Izmailovo). My father worked in a management position in one of the companies specializing in sports marketing. Gleb Golubin became the first-born in the family. Later mother Elena in 2003 has given birth to the second child - the boy Herman.

Gleb played football since six years. Father was very proud of the fact that his son was doing sports and wanted the boy to have an appropriate career. The young man stubbornly trained several times a week and dreamed about the future of an outstanding football player. In his spare time the boy liked to play on the console. Gleb himself could not think at that time that in a dozen years he would become known as the Russian rapper Pharaoh.

Not long ago, our hero gave a detailed interview to the online edition of Snob. Pharaoh is a Russian rapper who told the general public that he listened to Kid Cudi from school years. It's about the popular at that time in the West, a hip-hop artist. He also told that other performers who influenced him in his childhood and youth were Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50-cent and some others.

Gleb went to the gymnasium № 1409 from 2002 to 2013. During this period, football enthusiasm reached the apotheosis - a talented young man was invited to perform for the teams of CSKA, Dynamo, Lokomotiv. But, unfortunately the trainers, the parents insisted on stopping their studies. My father really wanted Gleb to become a football player, but after the young man nearly got a serious injury at one of the matches (he was lucky and he got off with scratches), the dad decided that the sport should be left.

Debut

Gleb was very worried about this. Fortunately, the father allowed the boy to act as an arbiter (judge) for the children's teams. Thus, Gleb was allowed at least somehow to continue to practice his favorite sport. At the age of 15 our hero first got on TV screens - he appeared in the film dedicated to football referees on the NTV Plus TV channel. At this moment the young man had more free time. He not only begins to devote himself to study, but also doubts his interest in hip-hop. It is at this point that the future Russian rapper Pharaoh records his first track. At the time of this work, he was 16 years old. In the same year, Gleb goes to the United States and lives there alone for 6 months. The young man is especially imbued with American hip-hop underground culture.

Style

Pharaoh is a Russian reper, who admitted in his interviews that he had an idea to read a cloud rap during a regular session of using marijuana with his girlfriend. They listened to the records of the Raider Klan band and noticed that the style of the recitative's performance is very much like "sounds from the underworld". Then this manner of execution seemed to Pharaoh to be truly revolutionary and very curious.

In 2013, Gleb succeeded in entering the Faculty of Journalism at Moscow State University. At the same time, he began his collaboration with the hip-hop band Grindhouse and got famous for the song "They want something from me". At the very end of the year, the Russian rapper Pharaoh was invited to the studio of his friends, where he recorded an interesting track Cadillac for a general mixtape called "Wadget", which was released in 2014. On many singles, the collective created video clips.

Phlora

The real furor produced the composition "Nothing has changed." Fans of cloud rap positively noted the unusual style of the clip for this song. It was executed in an aesthetics very similar to the Californian artist Bones. Russian rapper Pharaoh himself denied rumors that he was inspired by the work of a western musician, although he admitted that in his youth he listened to his album Th @ Kid. So it is not known, it was just a coincidence or our hero really took from the American some "chips". In the summer of 2014, Pharaoh released another mixtape - Phlora. He received average ratings of critics, but he fell in love with the fans.

"Sker-sker-sker"

A great fame to Pharaoh was the video clip Black Siemens, released in February 2015. In the video, Gleb, dressed in a hoodie by Tommy Hilfiger, read a rap with a very amusing chorus in the snow-covered wasteland, in which the imitation of "Sker-Sker-Sker" was present. This all happens against the backdrop of the Lincoln car, which the performer rented specifically for this clip. The clip itself and the sounds of "sker" from the chorus quickly became Internet memes. The video scored several million views. In the summer of the same year, Pharaoh released his third mixtape - Dolor (translated from Latin - "pain"). On July 22, the clip was also filmed for this track.

Atmosphere

In April 2016, a video for the song "Phosphorus", where the Russian rapper Pharaoh decides to use a new extravagant technique of performance - screaming. In May, the hip-hop artist again rejoices his fans with a new music video for the track "Let's stay at home". Both tracks entered the album Phosphor. He saw the light in mid-July.

Gleb cooperates with such influential rappers as JEEMBO, Scriptonite, Thomas Mraz, LSP and many others. Pharaoh has won the love of connoisseurs of rap and critics, thanks to a unique image, an interesting manner of performance and an atmosphere of burnt nihilism, which is characteristic of his texts. Note that our hero is involved in the unification of YungRussia. In 2016, a clip was created for the song "Let's stay at home".
