In his 36 years, the Russian entrepreneur and functionary Roman Rothenberg has reached considerable heights in business as well as in sports. Roman Borisovich is the vice-president of Gazprombank, he owns a business in the production of sports nutrition, but the greatest pleasure is given to him by a hobby, which partly became a profession. Roman Rothenberg: biography, facts from life

A boy named Roman was born in the spring of 1981 in Leningrad to the family of a well-known businessman, and afterwards a professional judo coach, Boris Romanovich Rotenberg and Irina Haranen, who had Finnish roots in the family. In 1991, the family immigrated to Helsinki, where Roman studied English and Finnish, and, at the insistence of his father, began to practice judo. However, by the time the school was over, the guy was already head over heels in love with hockey and planned to connect his life with this sport.

Roman's parents divorced at the end of the last century, and the guy himself, reaching adulthood, went to London, where he received an education in international business.

In 2005 Roman Rotenberg returned to Russia. He successfully passed the interview in the company "Gazprom export", and later personally met with its general director, Alexander Medvedev - also a dedicated hockey fan. Since 2009, the Russian functionary has started the path to the top of the top management of Gazprombank, whose vice-president is to this day.

Over the years, hockey enthusiasm has developed from a simple hobby into another type of activity of Roman Rotenberg and to a certain extent became the meaning of all life. In 2007, a Russian businessman became deputy general director of a new project called the Continental Hockey League.

Roman Borisovich Rotenberg is the founder of the company "Doctor Sport", specializing in the production of sports nutrition. According to mass media, the company went through the operational break-even one year after its opening, and in 2015 its network comprised more than 50 stores throughout Russia. Among other things, Doctor Sport is a sponsor of the SKA hockey club.

It is known that in 2016 the investment group, headed by Rotenberg, was among the contenders for the acquisition of the marketing agency "TeleSport", but later the Russian businessman refused this idea.

Negotiations are currently underway regarding the purchase by Rotenberg of the sewing and printing factory Rossport, which is engaged in the manufacture of equipment for the SKA SK and other sports clubs.

Activities in Finland

Roman Rotenberg together with another famous Russian entrepreneur Gennady Timchenko are co-owners of the ice arena "Hartavall", built in Helsinki. Also, half of the rights to the Finnish hockey club "Yokerit" belong to businessmen from Russia. The latter, by the way, since 2014, is all in the same Continental Hockey League.

In 2010, Rothenberg announced his marriage with Marta Berzkalna - the Latvian top model.
