Rare marine animals

Many of us still believe that rare marine animals are mysterious big and evil monsters that threaten a person. In fact, in nature there are many species of small animals that exist in small specimens, and their descriptions are known from a few meetings with them.

Many would like to meet some rare sea monster, or at least believe that they exist. Such ideas have long aroused human curiosity and excited imagination.

Marine animals, for example, such as a sea snake, are one of such representatives. There are several candidates for this title.

This is the herring king - a very long and large fish, the length of which reaches eleven meters, although in some sources even a nineteen-meter fish is fixed. This very rare species lives in the deep waters of the world's oceans.

The next representative of the marine fauna - the king of the underwater kingdom (so called his Japanese fishermen) is listed in the Guinness Book of Records. It is called the "strap-fish" and is the longest bone fish of the ocean. Its average length is from 5 to 6 m with a weight of a quarter of a ton. He has a very flattened body, which is what caused his name. The dorsal fin originates on the head and has a bright red hue. To date, these marine animals are very poorly studied by scientists, since they rarely appear in places accessible for study. The meat of this sea monster is not eaten by humans or other animals.

Another unusual marine animals are giant eels. Until now, their migration process is amazing, which they pass by going to spawning. Leptotsefals, their larvae, are no less mysterious than their parents. In the 30s of the last century, a marine expedition caught a representative of the larva of the sea giant eel, which reached about two meters in size. It can be assumed that the length of an adult specimen under normal development can reach an incredible 30-meter size.

Such marine animals, like giant squid, reliably hide their secrets in the sea depths. In 1887, such a kraken was caught, reaching about 17.5 m in size together with the tentacles. Scientists suggest that the sea depths can have giant creatures reaching 20 meters in length.

There is also about 3,000 species of all kinds of lizards in the sea waters and only the only marine animal, the iguana. About their lives, scientists also know little, because their homeland is the sparsely populated and remote Galapagossa islands. These animals reach 1.5 meters long. Thanks to Charles Darwin, we have an idea of the marine iguana. He was not enthusiastic about it, giving it a characterization, as an ugly, stupid and slow animal.

Another strange, but not less rare marine animal is a sea-worm inhabiting the ocean depths. Because of its strange bizarre appearance, it is called "flying buttocks". Only in 2007 the world had the opportunity to get to know him. California scientists found marine worms in the amount of about ten pieces in the Monterey Bay. Pugacropcinus is no more than a nut and very similar to disembodied buttocks. Its Latin name translates as "reminiscent of a pig's ass." Until now, scientists do not know if the adult is an animal or is just a larva.

Rare sea animals impress with their original shapes and bright colors. I would like to mention one more representative of the sea depths - a fish with a transparent head. Its Latin name is almost impossible to pronounce. She has a perfectly transparent head that protects her tubular eyes. As an object of study, it is a very interesting specimen. The structure of the eyes of this inhabitant of the sea was studied only in 2009. It lives at fairly deep depths and can only look up. Attempts to study her sight brought fish of the flour due to the fact that it was difficult for her to tolerate changing pressure.

That's how many mysteries can hide under the water! Most likely, their study will never cease to attract zoologists and ichthyologists.
