Such a plant as a seagull, whose cultivation we will consider in this article, people have known for a long time. Our ancestors with great pleasure consumed food portulac, as well as using it treated many diseases. I must say that the pearl-lily is a rather pleasant taste of grass, which is usually grown in gardens and which is a good vitamin supplement. Although there are also amateur gardeners who do not consider portolak a cultivated and decorative plant and try to get rid of it at the first opportunity. And all because portolak refers to those cultures that can quickly "run wild" and fill all the neighboring areas. And this is very few of the gardeners will like.

I must say that the port-lantern is a real decorative and vegetable culture, however, every gardener must decide for himself what he needs a seagull. Some grow it as a garden ornament, others - as a useful food additive, because in young shoots and leaves of portals can contain vitamins C, PP, E, as well as carotene.

Portulac, whose cultivation has recently become more popular, in our garden areas is usually found large-flowered and is an annual with small but juicy leaves. Flowering of the portolac begins in June and lasts almost until the end of autumn. If we talk about how to grow a naval dress of decorative forms, then this is best done through seedlings.

However, here it is worth remembering that portolak belongs to heat-loving plants, therefore, even the most minor frosts will be fatal for it. In addition, this culture is very fond of light and moisture. And this means that, before starting to grow this plant, you will have to work hard to pick up and prepare a place for it. What can you do? He is such a kind of a porter.

Growing seedlings should be based on the fact that the plant is thermophilic. Therefore, grown shoots must necessarily be kept warm. To prepare the soil for growing seedlings, you need to mix in a ratio of 4: 5: 1 leaf, sod land and sand. It will not hurt a small amount of ash, so that it thoroughly disinfected the soil. In general, it should be noted that growing portralaka seedlings is very troublesome and long. However, labor will necessarily be rewarded with a good harvest. But what you should not do is add peat or organic fertilizers to the planting substrate. For seedlings can catch a fungus and die.

When the soil is ready, the seeds can be planted in small boxes, pots and slightly moistened with water. If the seeds are small, then they must be mixed with dry and clean sand and sow chaotic randomly. At the same time, it is not worth dredging seeds. But we must not forget to sprinkle them with water from the spray gun, then cover the boxes with glass, light-transmitting film and put the crop in a warm place. Sowing seeds for seedlings is best at the end of March or early April.

The rose seedlings of the port-lacquer need a high enough temperature, at least +25 degrees, and good lighting. Therefore, if natural light is not enough, it is strongly recommended to carry out additional illumination with daylight lamps. They should be located at a distance of not more than 15-20 cm from young shoots.

To get a healthy and beautiful perforation, growing seedlings must be done correctly. First of all it concerns irrigation. And overdrying, and excessive zeal in watering can ruin a plant. Therefore, moisturize the crop should be moderate and cautious - it is very important for a culture such as portolac.

Cultivation of seedlings takes about a month, and before planting it should be cut so that between the seedlings there is a distance of 4-5 cm. Alternatively, the plant can be dived.
