Protective polishing car body: how to do it?

Every driver caring for his vehicle periodically polishes the car. The whole procedure takes a little time - about 40 minutes. To polish, in addition to its attractive appearance, also had protective properties, a Teflon and wax base, which is part of its composition, is needed.

These bases differ only in the duration of the action. Teflon polish keeps on the car up to 6 washes, and wax will serve less. The protective polishing of the body of the car will last longer, if you wash your car less often, but we also do not recommend neglecting cleanliness.

Protective car body polishing can be done by the owner himself about once every four months. With this procedure, for convenience, you can even use a conventional electric drill with special polishing nozzles.

If the car has cracks, then you need an abrasive car body polish . This process is more complicated, since it involves masking the scratches of the body of the machine, as well as chips and other defects. Accordingly, it takes more time. Also, the technology of polishing is a bit different.

Actually, abrasive polishing is carried out only in those cases when Defects on the surface of the body are visible to the naked eye: cracks, chips, scratches and so on. The technology of applying this product begins with the preparation of the paint and varnish coating of the car - it is necessary to get rid of the upper oxide layer on the body, and also to straighten the scratches and wiping.

Depending on the size of the scratches, you need to pick up the sandpaper and process it with any irregularities on the car. So there is a polishing of car body scratches. Then, the abraded surface is applied to the abrasive paste and ground by the usual method. Better quality and effective will close the scratches not all at once, but by selecting certain areas for polishing.

Nano-polishing - protective polishing of the body of the car, which differs from the standard only in that it includes other materials of a quality. And how to do it yourself?

First of all, it should be noted that the process itself will not be very difficult. But polishing involves the presence of patience and compliance with all established work rules, which include the use of all the necessary tools for that.

So, first you need to thoroughly wash the body. Next, remove any deposits on the coating: dried stains, drops, etc. This is done simply: with the help of special technical means, such as white spirit. In this case, the most important thing is not to overdo it with solvents, so as not to spoil the very coating of the body. The weather on the day of this work should be not cold, but also not solar, and also it is better that there was no increased humidity. The best place to carry out the procedure will be a garage in which everything is sufficiently well lit. In order to apply polish on the body, there are special soft applicators. Remember that if you spent a month or two back painting the car, the protective polishing of the car body can prevent the natural reaction - the polymerization of the LCP.

In the end, check how well you polish. Pour the car with water. Drops should drain from the machine, as if sliding off it. That's the whole simple polishing process, now you can take care of your own car. Good luck!
