The reserve nook of nature, where the slopes of the ancient mountains descend to the blue sea, leaving people only a small strip of coastal line, was reasonably considered a place of elite rest. However, territorial disputes with neighbors and, as a result, economic difficulties, for a long time hampered the development of the tourist business. The current leadership of Abkhazia is doing everything possible to attract tourists to the region, and it should be noted that their actions give a positive result.

Where is Abkhazia?

Cleaning it is extremely rare, so the beauty of the landscapes are brought to nothing by the disgusting mountains of garbage. And sea water is not very clean.

For this reason, many guests of Gagra prefer the beaches of Pitsunda, which is only 20 minutes away.

Pitsunda

This city is ideal for a leisurely family vacation. Half a hundred kilometers from the Abkhaz capital, between the high mountains and the Black Sea coast, the cozy Gudauta resort lurks in the vineyards and tangerine groves. Thousands of tourists pass it on the way to one of the most beautiful lakes in the world - Lake Ritsa.

But as a place to relax, he chooses not too many tourists. And completely in vain, because it is in the outback that one can understand what kind of Abkhazia it is. The private sector by the sea in Gudauta can be rented for very little money. Along with the simplest rooms without amenities Gudauta guests can be offered a luxurious apartment with air conditioning and around the clock hot water.

Among the shortcomings, tourists note a service that has long stopped in its development, poorly developed infrastructure and almost complete lack of entertainment. But the purest sea, tart mountain air and beautiful nature more than offset the lack of benefits of civilization.
