Story line

Probably everyone remembers the nice boy Peter Pan, who did not want to grow up, and therefore fled the house to Netlandia. There he met fairies, among whom a friend - Dinh-Dinh found. The worst enemy of Peter is Captain Hook. In the series "Once in a Tale" by Peter Pan, actor Robert Andrew, who is more often called Robbie Kay, plays. By the way, this is the only film adaptation, where Peng became a negative character. The move is interesting and very exciting, especially since the main introductory notes have been preserved. Peter Pan lives in Netland, communicates with fairies. On his island is full of boys, but they are not out of their own free will. They are kidnapped. Peter appeared in Netland first and took control of the original inhabitant of the island - Shadow. According to the story, Peter is looking for a boy with the heart of a true believer to save himself and gain immortality. He finds such a person and tells him that he must sacrifice his heart to save the magic of the island.

Prehistory

How did Peter Pan stay in "Once in a Tale"? Actor Robbie Kay was a real find. Especially the spectators were impressed by his eyes - such adults with the appearance of a young angel. After all, in the course of the development of the plot it turns out that Peter Pan is Rumpelstiltshen's father, and his real name is Malcolm. In the enchanted Forest, Malcolm was an outcast, dissatisfied, self-centered and cowardly. Then he made a deal with the Shadow and got eternal youth in exchange for giving up his own son. Caught in the Enchanted Forest, Malcolm takes on a new name for Peter Pan in honor of his son's toy. He manages to take Henry's heart from a true believer, but then he encounters Regina (in the past, the Evil Queen) who takes his heart from him. However, Peter Pan perishes at the hands of his son Rumpelshtiltshen, having managed to curse the whole city. But this is not all, because later Peter Pan returns to Storybrook from the Underworld.

History of Robbie

The performer of the role of Peter Pan in "Once in a Tale" - actor Robbie Cayu - only 21 years old. He lives in the Czech Republic, is fond of rugby and football. In the movie, he came out of pure curiosity, when in school he saw an announcement about the recruitment of actors for shooting. Experience was not enough, but Robbie got a role in the movie "The Illusionist." True, during the final editing his scene was cut out, but they began to give small roles in other films. There were shootings in the pictures "Hannibal: Climbing" and "My Boy Jack", and after the Canadian film company approved him for the role of Jacob in the film "Shards".

Next was the "Magic History of Pinocchio" in tandem with Bob Hoskinsky and Thomas Sangster. Today on the account of Kay 14 works, including the role of Peter Pan in "Once in a fairy tale." The actor dedicated this hero to three years - from 2013 to 2016.

In his words

What can you say about Peter Pan from "Once in a Tale"? Actor and role categorically do not coincide, but outwardly this is an exact hit. Robbie Kay was akin to his character and was able to justify or at least accept his actions. His Peng finds a way out of any situation and, despite obvious negative qualities, manages to evoke in the audience sympathy and a fraction of pity. Still, Robbie was able to convey the character of the hero, his loneliness and the fear of real life. The first thought of Kay before the filming was the admiration for the general idea. Interested in the approach of producers who want to show familiar characters from those sides from which no one sees them. According to Robbie, Peter Pan is a very powerful villain. The actor liked to play the role of a cult character with peculiar values and manners, to which other people are not accustomed.

Work in a fairy tale

Immediately joined the collective of the series "Once in a Tale" Peter Pan. Actors and photos from the filming keep in memory only positive moments. Sam Robbie Kay in a new way for himself discovered Neverland, because the series is an ominous place with jungles and weapons. Boys - the inhabitants of these places - are not very friendly with strangers. The hero Robbie often surprised not only the audience, but also the performer himself. Kay's living emotion can be seen in the episode when it turned out that Peng is the father of Rumpelstiltshen. The actor caught this news by surprise, and this reaction was differently revealed by the character.

Just the creative duet with Rumpelstiltshen became the most interesting in the work of Kay. It was very strange and interesting for a 20-year-old guy to play the father of Robert Carlisle. On the set in abundance poured jokes on the father and son themes. This was a serious challenge for Robbie Kay, because Robert Carlisle has a recognition in film and television, and the guy needed to play his father, who turned 18 years old. However, the young actor turned out. The audience noted the depth of his gaze and the amazing contrast between the adult eyes and the appearance of the young man.

On the set, the actors completely immersed themselves in a fabulous atmosphere. And if earlier it seemed to many that from fairy tales they had grown, now it turned out that fairy tales simply need to be able to tell in a new way. For example, the idea of flight in the history of Peter Pan resonates with many children. And the actors were attracted by the opportunity to change people's opinions about this fairy tale.

Work on the project "Once in a fairy tale" gave a lot to the young talent, as he not only embodied the essence of the negative character, but also managed to adapt to a new environment for his hero. In some episodes, the complexity of the game increased even further, as Robbie played not only a boy with an adult mind and experience, but also Peter Pan after exchanging bodies with Henry. It was real madness, albeit very cheerful.

For such a reincarnation within one exterior Robbie needed to study the facial expressions and movements of Jared Gilmour in order to place the necessary accents at the level of physiology. Regarding the final scenes, Robbie Kay is quite optimistic. He believes that his hero received what he deserved, and the finished final is the only true one.
