The main stained-glass window depicts the goddess Nika. The large tympanum is decorated with the image of the chariot of Helios, two small tympanas located on the sides of the station, images of the abduction of Europe and the Argonauts.

Section 2. History of construction

The very first project of the metro station "Parnas" was made in 1991, but it was rejected. In the updated 1995 project, it was proposed to use new composite materials for construction . In 2005, we made a final decision on the construction of the station. Architects Pavlova MV, Khilchenko VG, Romashkin-Timanov NV promptly remade the project of the station in 1995. Under the final design, underground transitions have been replaced by overhead ones, lifts for people with disabilities and emergency exits have also been added.

The Parnas station was to be built soon after the start of the operation of the Udelnaya section - Prospekt Prosveshcheniya. The timing of its opening was postponed due to the protracted construction of the Shuvalovo-Ozerka housing estate, which it was supposed to serve. On December 22, 2006, Parnas was opened as part of the current section Prospekt Prosveshcheniya - Vyborgskoye depot.

The station was named after the eponymous historic district. According to the project, it was planned to be called "Parnassus", but in the end they received "Parnassus".

Section 3. Characteristics

The inner walls of the Parnas metro station are lined with white marble "kölga" and decorated with polished granite inserts. The flooring is made of granite. For the production of suspended ceilings, a sand-gray composite composite of aluminobond is used. The central transition between platforms is strengthened by additional farms and is above the tracks. It is made in the form of an arch and decorated with stained glass.

The facing is made of gray and red granite. External walls are decorated according to the principle of "ventilated facade". Most of the cladding is made of "petropanels", which are designed for both decoration and thermal insulation.

The roof covering is made of special roofing "petropanels", which are lighter and more convenient to use than traditional reinforced concrete panels.
