Novosibirsk group "Woman with a Beard": composition, repertoire

Although the "Woman with the Beard" on Eurovision, she never nominated her candidature, every third knows her in Novosibirsk. And even if he did not go to the concert, he must have heard something about her. Yes, the group is treated this way - using the singular and the female gender. The creative union of Varvara and Sergei formed a new, almost full-fledged member of society.

Name

The name of the band sounds rather eccentric, if not shockingly. The group's soloist, Varvara Sapozhnikova, was not scared to be seen as a girl with an excessive scalp on her face, as the well-known Conchita Wurst, a woman with a beard, won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014.

Of course, Varvara does not have vegetation on his face. Beard is a creative pseudonym and distinctive feature of another important participant and producer of the group - Sergei Pisarevsky. Earlier at the concerts, they were so introduced to the audience: "Here is a woman, but Beard, together -" Woman with Beard ". The group received this name from the easy hand of Barbara.

History

Their joint activity began in 2001, when they met in the art gallery "The Black Widow". Even then, Beard was imbued with the voice and charisma of Varvara. He invited her to perform on stage, feeling in a charming blonde great potential. At one time, Beard organized not one creative team, and he had experience in producing. But to officially act as a new group they started only in 2002.

Initially, Beard did not plan to take part in the group's activities as a musician, however, it was not possible to gather participants into a new collective. The eminent guitarists did not want to take risks, entering into an unknown team. Then Sergei Pisarevsky and decided to personally support Varvara, coming on stage with her. I must say, Beard did not lose, and timid musicians probably still bitten their elbows for a long time, watching the success of the new team.

In a fairly short time, "Woman with a Beard" easily won the love of the fastidious audience of Novosibirsk. The musicians began, of course, with the opening speeches of recognized collectives in the same "Black Widow", then took part in the festival of acoustic music "Siberian Six-String Underground" ("S.S.A."). Having recommended himself as a charismatic and promising team, Varvara and Beard took up already for regular rehearsals. First they were joined by Alexander Kasperovich (guitarist of the group "Nephrite"), in a musical environment known as Khryak. Then as a drummer Cyril Pisarevsky came under the pseudonym Vepr, the son of Boroda. Later in the team began to play and Eugene Nalyvayko nicknamed Pig (keyboard instruments). Then the team added Varvara's protege - Dmitry Ganin (Ganya), leader of the punk band "NPVK". When the concert activity "Women with Beard" became quite dense, the composition of the participants began to change gradually. To date, behind the collective a lot of successful concerts in Omsk, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Altai Krai and the Kemerovo region.

"The Woman with the Beard" remarkably performed with such famous performers as Chizh, Chicherin, Maxim Leonidov, Mara, as well as the bands "Time Machine", "Aria", "Crematorium" and others. Her concert activity continues to this day, but, unfortunately, is no longer so active.

Group members

In the group often there were changes. For one reason or another, the participants left the team, they were replaced by new ones. Since 2002, Sergei Panyutin, a former member of the Samosad group, has joined the Woman with a Beard, replacing Dmitry Ganin. Vladimir Fil, known in the composition of "Verified", "Crossroads" and "Gulf", temporarily left the stage instead of Panyutin in 2004. From time to time Varvara and Borodoy were played by drummer Mikhail Pavstyuk, who previously worked with Nord-West bands and Free Time, as well as bass player Andrei Siminenko, ex-member of Verified, Crossroads and Slim Lory. In 2006 the place of the leader-guitarist Alexander Kasperovich was finally taken by the debutant Vyacheslav Shevchenko. Constant participants of the band, its founders and inspirers, the main authors of texts and music - Varvara and Beard. The rest of the team today: Pisarevsky-junior (drums), Panyutin (bass guitar), Nalyvayko (keys) and Shevchenko (lead guitar). This is how the band looks at the moment.

Female

Varvara Sapozhnikova is a smiling blonde, Novosibirsk's Janis Joplin. For her, in fact, and started a group. It is not surprising that the mention of it was made in the name of the collective. As already mentioned above, it was Varvara who proposed the band's original name. And it, undoubtedly, gives out in it the person of the courageous, witty, with remarkable sense of humor.

Varvara was born on Sakhalin, but she spent most of her conscious life (after 16 years) in Novosibirsk. According to her, she has been fascinated with creativity since her childhood, but it has always been at the level of a hobby, she never had a musical education. Before the serious enthusiasm for music, she worked in finance, medicine, IT, and even in the service sector. As a singer she first tried herself in Dmitry Gaiduk's band Sakrabanda, but the real debut was still participation in "The Woman with the Beard", where she became not only a soloist but also a songwriter. Varvara was several times married, with her former spouses kept warm relations. There is a son Maxim.

Beard

Sergei Pisarevsky is also a native of Novosibirsk. His birthplace in Tajikistan, but he grew up and studied in the capital of Siberia. Like Varvara, Pisarevsky lived for some time on the island of Sakhalin. He studied music from childhood, both in theory and in practice. Quite tolerably, he mastered the guitar and piano, tried to play the xylophone, bayan and even clarinet. Living on Sakhalin, worked on the organization of musical rock bands, combined this activity with the navigator navigational. Back in Novosibirsk, he founded the band "April", but the lack of income from these events made him leave music for almost 10 years. Again picking up the guitar prompted him to meet with Varvara, which occurred in 2001.

Repertoire

Determine the genre in which "The Woman with a Beard" works is quite problematic. Musicians themselves do not characterize the direction of their work, but in it, definitely, the motifs of rock'n'roll and blues, folk and reggae, jazz and bossa nova are traced. This unusual mixture of genres gives rise to a "Russian rock" of hooliganism with a touch of bardic songs.

Albums

The group recorded three albums: Barbadonna (2006), "Universal Love" (2011) and "The Road to the Altai" (2012). However, since 2002, many different songs "Women with the Beard" have appeared in various collections from concerts and festivals, including "Cuba - my love", Megarock and Recommended Records. Also the band regularly took part in events and music sessions, for example, "Short Circuit", "Wings-2006", a festival of memory of Tatyana Snezhina and Sergei Bugayov, as well as a bike show ("Stary Melnik", "Full Gas", " Territory of Freedom "," Steel Wind ") along with eminent teams. The Beard founded its own Rock On competition for young performers who want to make their mark on the rock scene of Novosibirsk and the region.

Today, "The Woman with the Beard" gives concerts in the clubs "Trumpet", "Stray Dog", Rock City, "Pulse", "Macondo" and "888". These are popular institutions in the midst of local rock parties.
