Childhood

Kolya Olyalin was born in a small village Opihalino, which is located in the Vologda region, May 22, 1941. And exactly a month later the most bloody war in the history of mankind broke out. Of course, he did not remember this terrible time, but for the rest of his life he remembered the picture of the victorious warriors returning from the front. Through Vologda a continuous flow of trucks, in which there were many fighters without arms or legs. These mutilated warriors remained forever in his memory.

The elder brother of the future actor enrolled in a dramatic circle, followed by Nicholas. He was taken only because in the circle at this time there were not enough guys for the performance of episodic roles. However, in children's plays, even the role of soldiers who do not have words, Kolya did not work. One day the guys from the school where the young actor was studying came to the premiere of the performance. Noticing that Kolya's role does not go well, they began to openly mock him straight from the audience. And then Olyalin showed a fighting character - he began to play in such a way that even shocked the head of the studio, not to mention the audience.

Choice of profession

People of the older generation probably remember that after the war in Vologda, and in other provincial cities, the word "artist" was, if not common, somewhat insulting. Therefore, at the insistence of his father, Nikolai went to Leningrad to enter the military school. True, before the entrance exams it did not come. Suddenly, the young man changed his own decision. For the next academic year N.Olyalin entered Leningrad in LGITMiK. Did not prevent the entry and explicit northern dialect of the young man.

The personal life of an artist

Young people fell in love at first sight. A month later they became husband and wife. In the family were born two children - son Vladimir and daughter Olga. None of them became an actor.

Working in a movie

In the beginning of 1965, Nikolai Olyalin, whose biography seemed to have been closely associated with the theater, made his debut in the cinema. This was the role of test pilot in the film "Flight Days". The debut turned out to be so successful that it was literally showered with proposals from famous and not very well-known directors. "Major Whirlwind", "Shield and Sword", "The Way to Saturn" ... Actor Olyalin could have decorated all these famous and well-known paintings if he had been warned about the tests on time. The fact is that the management of the theater intentionally concealed from him the received invitations, not wanting to let the popular artist go to the shooting.

Most likely, the same fate awaited the film-epic "Liberation". But to help the actor came "good angel" - a girl who worked in the theater administration. She informed Nikolai under a great secret about the invitation received. To take part in the tests, I had to go to the trick - to take the sick-list and inform the administration that he was going to a sanatorium.

Director Yuri Ozerov saw in the actor not only male beauty, but also his amazing ability to create a new image of the great Russian soldier. After this film, Nikolai Olyalin, whose biography began to change, moved to Kiev, where he was embraced with open arms at the Dovzhenko film studio.

Directors often began to use the actor's image as a military man. Major Toporkov from G. Lipshitz's film "There is no way back" for a long time filled the audience with their sincerity and strength of spirit. A year later, Nikolai Olyalin, whose filmography began to fill rapidly with very strong works, appeared in the film "Daring", where he played the role of a brave and strong-spirited Soviet intelligence officer. It's amazing, but the actor, who created such expressive images of the military, did not serve in the army.

1970s. Popularity

The peak of the actor's popularity falls precisely on these years. All popular publications aspired to publish his photo. Nikolai Olyalin literally bathed in the rays of glory. Due to the incredible popularity of the actor in the cinema, theater directors turned their views on him. At that time, Oleg Yefremov had just accepted the leadership of the Moscow Art Theater. He invited the actor to his troupe. He promised to help him with getting housing, offered better roles, but Nikolai was too busy at the cinema, so he did not accept this tempting offer.

In the seventies, besides the military, Nikolai Vladimirovich began to offer a wide variety of roles. In the drama Yu Dubrovin "World Boy" he played the role of Victor Loginov. Soviet engineer who became a participant in an incredible auto race. His role in the famous comedy "Gentlemen of Fortune", in the film "Golden River", the ironic thriller "Mad Gold" did not go unnoticed either. For ten years of active work in the national cinema Nikolai Olyalin played in eighteen scenes. Not having Ukrainian roots, in 1979 the actor was awarded the high title of People's Artist of Ukraine.

The 1990s

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Nikolai Olyalin, whose biography was already inextricably linked with the cinema, as well as a large number of talented actors, was practically left without work. During this period, he appeared before the fans of his work in a completely new quality - the director. However, his good pictures of love remained unclaimed. Perhaps it is the fault of the troubled time, and maybe, the illegibility of the distributors ...

This state of affairs could drive a different person into utter despair. But not our hero. As the actor himself recalled, the hope for a better future was infused into him by interesting clips of the "Russian Project". Completely nezamysovatye, they returned to the screens of our compatriots forgotten idols. In ordinary viewers, these works evoked warm feelings and faith in the future. The hero of one of these commercials was the artist Nikolai Olyalin. Scenarios for the "Russian project" was written by P. Lutsik, who later invited Olyalin to his painting "Outskirts". Unfortunately, after this work, the actors did not have other roles in the cinema.

The last years of the actor's life

For a long time, films with Olyalin did not appear on the screens at all. The actor started writing essays about his colleagues, tried his hand at writing as a screenwriter. All the experiences associated with work, could not but affect the health of your favorite actor. In the mid-nineties, Nikolay Olyalin suffered a serious heart operation. For the actor, who was loved by millions of spectators, the state did not have money for an expensive operation.
