Motorboat "Amur": technical characteristics, description

Aviation Plant. Gagarin, located in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, is known to all interested in military and civil aviation. Since the 50s of the last century, it was from here that all the Sukhoi Design Bureau aircraft departed. In addition to the military, many Soviet civilian aircraft also left the city. Today the company is engaged in the assembly of "Superjets" - passenger airliners of the same OKB.

But very few people know that the motor boat "Cupid" was produced by one of the departments of this plant itself. At first it was just one of the directions of the company's development, but in 1999 the company separated. In 2006, the production of boats was discontinued, and in 2009 - the production of spare parts. After that, the subsidiary closes.

Differences

In many sources, the words "boat" or "boat" are used as synonyms. But if you understand, the names refer to different types. Both of these apply to boats, but there is a difference. So, how does the Amur boat differ from a motor boat?

About the appearance is not worth mentioning - it's understandable and so. The difference is different. The difference between a motor boat and an ordinary boat in one is a hinged motor. The helmsman sits on the aft can, drives it and further regulates the speed and direction of movement, turning the special handles on the engine. The man driving the boat sits down, as in a conventional car, in front. Before it a small remote control, and the motor is started by a button on this panel. The direction of movement is regulated from there as well.

If you do not go into the technical details, the difference between them in the installation of the motor. The boat implies the possibility of its removal. Boat - no.

Description

As was customary in the Union, any military plant had to give part of the power to produce civilian goods. The first motor boat "Amur" was released in 1968. The standard specification for "Amur" meant the "412E" engine. This is a 4-stroke, 4-cylinder carburetor option used on cars "Moskvich-412". When installing it on motor boats, there was a large minus - a strong vibration transmitted to the hull of the ship. Therefore, all subsequent modifications received a rotary-folding column, due to which the screw and part of the engine were outside the vessel. In addition to increasing the space, this solution greatly increased the life of the undercarriage and significantly reduced the vibration.

Originally the boat "Amur" was made entirely of duralumin, then the lower part of steel was made of aluminum-magnesium alloys. The bottom was 2.5 mm thick, the sides 1.5. Along them lay out blocks of foam for unsinkability, and the whole structure strengthened 10 frames. All these details translated the usual motorboat into a premium class. And, despite the small size, this ship was comparable in price to the car, so it was not affordable for everyone to buy it in the Union.

The lineup

At the same time, for almost 30-year history of the release, the boat "Amur" has undergone several modifications. The very first versions were made from duralumin, because of what they could ply only in the river water. These included:

  • "Amur" and "Amur-M". These were basic models with an angular gearbox. Assembling only from the duralumin.
  • "Amur-D" was also made only from duralumin. At the same time, the boat was the first version using a swivel-folding column.

For the lower part of the following versions, aluminum-magnesium alloys began to be used, which allowed these vessels to enter the open sea.

  • The boat "Amur-2" became the first version, which had a cabin roof for two places. The rear part, like in later models, was closed with a tent.
  • "Cupid-3" could go out to sea, but had an open layout.

  • "East" - having a different name, he was going according to the scheme "Cupids", but related to the water-jet type.
  • "East -2" (sometimes referred to as "Vostok-2T"). The same covered cabin, as on "Cupid-2", but refers to the water-jet type.

The lower part of both "Vostok" was also made of alloys, so these boats could be used not only on rivers.

Characteristics

Having dealt with the model number, let's move on to the parameters. It should be noted that, despite more than 30-year period of release, "Amur" - a boat, the characteristics of which remained constant. To protect the screw and expand the useful space, it found a swivel-folding column, then another alloy for the lower part, allowing to go to sea, but the basic data did not change. All the models were fitted with a motor from Moskvich, all had practically the same stuffing, even external parameters were largely repeated, so we will not separately consider each development - we will dwell on the Amur-D model - modifications with a rotary-folding column.

  • The length is 5.5 m.
  • Width - 2 m.
  • The speed is 40 km / h.
  • Passenger capacity - 4 people + helmsman.
  • Useful mass - 500 kg, loaded - 660 (without fuel).
  • Tank - 100 liters.
  • The motor power is the same as that of the 412 Moskvich - 60 hp. from.
  • Draft - 0,5 m, overall overall height - 1, 4.
  • Displacement - 1 t.

The following data are not technical parameters, but, nevertheless, the owner of the boat should remember them:

  • The distance from the coast is up to 50 km;
  • Wave height - 0.75 m, in the latest models - up to 1.2 m.

Unlike other pleasure craft, the motor boat "Amur" received an electric starter, which launched the main engine. In addition to the starter, there were signal lights, a sound signal and a spotlight on the boat. All control devices also had a backlight. Electricity was supplied from a generator or battery pack located in the engine compartment. The voltage is 12 V, the maximum current is 40 A.

Awning

Beginning with the base model, all modifications received a folding awning that was stored between the headrest of the rear sofa and the engine compartment. As a rule, it was made waterproof, ventilated, and, importantly, skeletonized. In other words, it was possible to use it not only for long parking.

The use of it in the daytime could prevent rain or scorching sun, in the evening - from the midges. The factory equipment included a tent on the boat "Amur", but if you wanted to change it (torn, leaks, or for some other reason), the manufacturer offered a proprietary replacement. Given that the pleasure boats and boats were very common, the owner could install and not a company tent, which coped with its tasks no worse than the original.

Price list

Before proceeding to the question of value, it is worth noting that the final amount will depend on at least two factors. Namely: from the operating conditions, as well as from technical details, which are still slightly different for different models.

On the first note, that a frequent approach to the shore with a nose quickly enough to rub the keel. The solution here was one - to weld a long rod from the nose from top to bottom. As well as in other transport, it is necessary to understand that the normal motor standing for a while will not require refilling of oil or water. If possible, you should inspect the body from below or at least raise the slides - assess the condition from the inside.

The most striking example of the second point is the type of engine: water cannon or column. By specifications, the speed of both is the same. However, the column is more manageable. On such an engine it is easier to park in reverse. Given the possibility of reclining, you can safely walk through shallow water. Due to the displacement of the engine back, the most capacious is the Amur boat. The price of this version by today's standards will be about 200-300 thousand rubles. But it should be borne in mind that this is not the final cost. Depending on the operating conditions of the former owner of a new, perhaps, something else will have to be completed.

Reviews

The base model of the plant was the Amur boat. Reviews about it often converge in one. Installed car engine in 60 liters. from. For it was completely unsuitable, as a result of which it quickly deteriorated. Replacing it with a more powerful carburetor or water jet had a positive effect on all the characteristics of this pleasure craft.

Conclusion

The motor boat "Amur", named after the large Russian river, was a good solution for lovers of water tourism or fishermen. Despite the fact that the production has already been closed, "Amur" still causes a lot of controversy in various circles. Interested people can find options for replacing the motor, altering the cockpit, anti-corrosion treatment, etc.
