Moravian Kras: how to get there? Photo, description

The main treasure of the Czech Republic is not for nothing called a unique nature. One of the most beautiful places in Central Europe is protected by the state and represents a hilly area of a thousand square kilometers. The largest karst massif Moravsky Kras is the most famous and not miraculous landmark of the country.

Zapovedny zone

In the protected area, scientists discovered more than a thousand caves with traces of life of primitive people, but only four of them, equipped and illuminated, are available for visiting tourists. The rest of the entrance is only allowed to professional speleologists.

The unique Moravian beauty declared by the reserve is a wonderful option for exploring the natural beauties of the Czech Republic. A fascinating journey through the karst region is striking in the sublime world.

It is noteworthy that special trains run around the protected area, delivering guests to all the interesting points of the reserve.

Labyrinths of Pnuva

Caves of Moravian Beauty attract Czech guests with unusual beauty. Mysterious grottoes, picturesque canyons, deepest dips, underground lakes are of great interest to enthusiastic travelers.

Created in limestone rocks hidden from the eye labyrinths known far beyond the country. The most popular cave is Punkva with the abyss of Macocha and the river of the same name, along which the rafting is organized.

Colonies of calcareous formations

Discovered relatively recently by speleologist K. Absolon, who passed all the way to the end, the tourist attraction takes tourists all year round. Moravian Kras (Czech Republic) is famous for its amazing beauty with whole colonies of stalactites and stalagmites. Calcareous fanciful formations, similar to the tower of Prague, stretching to each other "Romeo and Juliet", reminiscent of the silk cloak "Palantine" will make the hearts of tourists from the admiration.

Punkva is known for the most wonderful figure, reminiscent of the wings folded angel, who for a long time defended people and was exhausted. Tired and lost the ability to soar above the earth, he found his refuge in the underground galleries.

Mirror Lake

In one of the halls, before the guests, the subterranean lake with its mirror surface reveals its charms, the water surface of which does not disturb anything. Inverted stalactites are reflected in the reservoir, and this spectacle is simply unforgettable. Near the lake there is a gigantic stalagmata "Salma", admiring all who entered the underground kingdom, in size.

The most beautiful grotto

During the laying of artificial passages, a small grotto was accidentally discovered, decorated with teardrop-shaped and stalactite stalactites. In the name received in honor of the President of the Czech Republic , the guests arrive on a noiselessly sliding boat over a dark corridor filled with water. In the grotto of "Masaryk" make a stop, so that all tourists admired the calcareous formations closer. The hall resembling a human dwelling is considered the most beautiful in the cave.

The Macocha Gap

The fascinating walk ends at the bottom of the deepest abyss of Macocha, with which ancient traditions chilling the soul are connected. On the cable car, tourists climb up and inspect the gap from the top of the mountain.

A large gorge of natural origin with the underground river Punkva has a depth of 138 meters. For the visitors of the reserve there are two equipped bridges, from which a charming and simultaneously frightening panorama of the abyss opens.

Catherine's Cave

But not only the underground treasures of Punkva are famous for Moravian Kras. Equally beautiful is Katerzhynska cave, which all the guests who came to the reserve know about the wonderful acoustics. In the largest "Main Cathedral" music performances and vocal competitions are often arranged.

The so-called Witch's Witch stalagmite, shimmering in different shades in the spotlights, produces an extraordinary impression. It seems as if an unusual formation really became a product of dark forces.

"Bamboo forest" is a cluster of tall stalagmites resembling wild thickets. In one cave, researchers discovered the remains of a prehistoric giant bear.

Cave of the Balzark

The cave of Baltsarka, which is of scientific interest, is another natural attraction, for the sake of visiting which tourists hurry to Moravian Kras. Here we found the largest number of skeletons of animals of the Pleistocene period, tools of man from bone and stone. Well, the main decoration of the Balzarka is the bizarre shapes and colors of numerous stalagmite laces that carry visitors to this fairy tale.

Only here are unique stone formations - heliktites, which grow parallel to the earth.

Sloupsko-Shoshuvskaya system

The two-tiered complex of underground caves with arches in the form of a dome and branched galleries attract tourists with special charm. Guests seem to fall into the magical world with bizarre formations and the quiet whisper of the underground river. But the most spectacular spectacle of the Sloupsko-Soshuvskaya system is the delightful view opening from the bridge to the bottom of the Stupnovita abyss.

Moravian Kras: how to get there?

How can I get to the reserve by myself? From Prague, you need to get to the city of Brno (it's about three hours by bus) from there by train or public transport to get to the village of Blansko.

Bus number 226 brings to the stop "Skalny Mlyn" (Skalní mlýn), from there to the reserve will have to walk more than a kilometer.

In the summer it is recommended to book tickets to Moravian Kras.

Excursions

Take an excursion to Moravský kras from different cities of the Czech Republic. For example, for a tour from Prague, including the road and sightseeing, you will have to shell out about a hundred dollars per person.

Buy tickets at the entrance to the caves before the beginning of an hour and a half excursion (170 CZK for an adult, 40 CZK for a photo). Independent travelers will have to wait until the group is formed. As they say experienced travelers, Russian visitors should not be complexed, because everything that the guide tells you can learn from the guide. The main thing is the feeling of being in the underground galleries.

Remember that for the opportunity to take photographs you have to pay separately, but during the fascinating rafting on the underground river, it is strictly forbidden to shoot, so as not to blind the boatman.

All tourists agree that Moravsky Kras, photo of which perfectly conveys the magical world of a natural miracle, is an unforgettable sight. A fascinating journey into the caves and familiarity with the reserved area leave an indelible impression. A place that has no equal, it's worth to visit everyone who hurries to rest in the Czech Republic.
