The history of UAZ production

The next task of the plant was the development and modification of the GAZ-AA model . In 1947 a 1.5 ton truck came off the assembly line. The exit of the car was to push the plant to create more powerful SUVs.

The creation and improvement of the UAZ car

The official specialization on the creation of powerful cars has been appropriated to the plant since 1955. A year before this, GAZ-69 and GAZ 69A had been launched. They differed in that they were able to pass on any off-road. Thanks to reliability, safety and unpretentiousness, these machines easily bypassed foreign analogues in the domestic market. The UAZ-469 was created in 1972. The history of development and production of this car is very sad. The design of the model began in 1959, but the manufacturer could produce the samples only by 1962. The car had to be reworked for 10 years due to lack of money.

The national car UAZ-450 was popularly called a "loaf" and "forty". The last name was invented by the developers themselves because of the two-color color and the unusual grille. By 1958 the production of UAZ ("loaf") was set up. The model immediately gained popularity among drivers. It was decided to alter it somewhat by 1959. It was decided to make this car the base for the UAZ-450V. The latter eventually became the basis for the mini-bus of the same line.

Most of the plant's cars had a gasoline engine, a manual transmission and a front-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive is installed on a rural version of the UAZ-450D.

The modification of UAZ-451 appeared in 1961. The difference between the old and new variants was that the latest version had a side door, a 4-speed gearbox. The changed car was named UAZ-452D.

New models of UAZs

The new model of UAZ (photo of which is below) under the 3303 encoding had increased cross-country capability.
