Such types of building materials are indispensable in the construction of high-rise buildings. Lightweight concretes on porous aggregates, of course, are inferior in strength properties. Widely spread lightweight concrete is getting recently in private construction. This is natural, because of the cost of such material. In their tasks in such works, lightweight concrete is divided into two types. The first is the material for bearing walls with porous fillers, specific gravity over one thousand four hundred kilograms per cubic meter. They call such concrete "constructive". Another type and, accordingly, the brand - heat-insulating. The name speaks for itself. Applied when erecting non-bearing walls. The weight of such material does not exceed five hundred kilograms per cubic meter.

The walls of buildings are not the only application for lightweight concrete. They are well proven when pouring decorative forms. This was promoted by high plastic qualities. A small weight made concrete competitive in the production of decorative products with heavy gypsum. Colons, pilasters, rusts, cornices from the hands of masters come out surprisingly elegant and original.
