Lake Maluksa: fishing, ecotourism, reviews

It often happens that a person with his economic activities disfigures the virgin places of nature. But very rarely the opposite happens.

Digging earth excavators, hollow hard, take out sand until they are found on the aquifer layer of the soil. So there is a new miracle of nature - a flooded quarry. As a rule, the water in such artificial lakes is clean, and the banks are sandy. Depth? It depends on the development of the quarry. After some time after the sand miners left with their equipment to look for new reserves, life is born in the lakes. Fish and crayfish appear, fly to the pond's pond.

Lake Maluksa, which will be discussed in our article, is just such a former spent career. How to get there? And is it worth it to go there to spend the weekend? Read about it below.

Where are the careers of Malux

The lake is not one. Not far from the village of Old Maluks, sand miners dug several quarries, and almost all these depressions filled with water. This network of artificial lakes has no official name, but locals call them Maluksinsky quarries. Most of these reservoirs are very modest in size, except for one. This lake in the local population has several names.

His old career is called because he has not functioned for many years as a place of extraction of sand. Middle it is called, because it is located very near the village. And finally, the name of the Southern Quarry Lake Maluksa is due to its geographical location relative to the center of the village.

And where is the village located? Old Maluksa is located in the Kirov district of the Leningrad region. From St. Petersburg, the village is 96 kilometers away.

Recreation

Did you try swimming in the quarries? The authorities are not very encouraging such an occupation. After all, as a rule, careers have steep banks, and for unskilled swimmers rest can turn into a tragedy. In addition, in such places no one conducted a water analysis. Perhaps, in addition to sand, other deposits of minerals were also brought to the surface of the earth: aluminum, iron. But did this somehow stop those who like to plunge into the cool waters of the northern lakes?

The shores of an abandoned quarry are surrounded by forests, in which there are full berries in summer, and in autumn - mushrooms. Lake Maluksa, as it was left by the industrialists before the others, managed to acquire fish. So here they come not only for beach-bathing rest, but also for the catch. Of course, in such places there are no bases or boarding houses. And the nearest housing is only in the village of Old Maluksa. But on the weekend with a tent you can come here, especially if you are lucky with the weather.

Maluksa (lake): how to reach

The most budgetary way is railway transport. The trains in the direction Budgoszcz depart both from Ladoga and from the Moscow railway stations of St. Petersburg. You should leave at the station "Old Maluksa". From the railway platform to the lake you need to walk for about ten minutes.

Do not want to be connected with the train schedule? You can visit the lake by your own car. But this involves the risk of putting the bottom of the car on some boulder in the final phase of the journey. But basically the road pleases. Motorists advise to go along the Kirovskoe highway. After driving through the district center, turn onto the Moscow road and drive to Puchholovo. Before the village of Petrov laid excellent asphalt. Then you will have a pretty good primer, which stretches for about ten kilometers. But then the railway tracks begin. After the crossing, the primer disappears and a winding sandy road appears, along which dump trucks scurry (some careers still work).

Fishing

Bathing, walking in the forest - all this summer fun. But Maluksa Lake is famous among fishermen. It is best to go here in the autumn, not before August, for sure. It's better to fish better from the boat. The best fish is found at a depth, closer to the middle of the lake. As a bait they use both maggots and wobblers. There are pike-perch, pike, and line in the lake. Fishermen also say that perch caught perches weighing 800 grams and a lot of stickers.

Reviews about the rest

Beautiful nature, a rich catch, an excellent pine forest, in which there are a lot of mushrooms and berries - this is how tourists and fishermen characterize Lake Maluksa. Reviews rest assured that the former quarry is filled with so pure water that you can contemplate your feet, standing on your neck in the water. For those who are not strong in swimming, tourists recommend to go with a braid. It is a small peninsula, which cuts a headland into an oblong lake.

There are downsides to this place. They concern, first of all, the tourists themselves. Unfortunately, not everyone who comes to the shores of Lake Maluksa, is a cultured people. After themselves, such vacationers leave mountains of rubbish and bald spots from the fires. Quite a lot of complaints and on the road. On weekdays, along the railroad tracks, lorries with sand rumble, and dump trucks run along the rainy roads.
