Its main feature is that hypertext allows users to move from one page to another, depending on their needs and goals. In this case, the user can always return to the page on which he already was.

For example, every day you see ads, ads, which necessarily indicate the phone number or address. It is believed that this information is hypertext. After all, by calling the number, you "go" to a source of more detailed information. The same can be said about the content in books and magazines. Today, hypertext is mainly associated with computers and the Internet. At the same time, scientists note that it provides the maximum interaction between a person and a computer. It turns out that hypertext is a very useful thing.

But what can be hypertext? Just a link? No, hypertext can be labeled differently. This can be text links, and digital notations, such as phone numbers, pages, and even pictures. It all depends on the information that is presented on the page.

It is also worth mentioning a few words about what the hypertext markup language is. This is an artificially created programming language, with which you create web pages, as well as electronic textbooks. Thanks to it, the pages are correctly displayed in all Internet browsers.

The first and most popular hypertext markup language is HTML. Invented back in 1990 by Tim Brens-Lee, he is still widely used in creating web pages.

Naturally, the HTML language is constantly being improved, new versions are being created, supplemented with new tags and markup rules.
