Hydradenitis: treatment and clinical outcome

If it is a question of hydradenitis, then a disease progressing against a background of infectious and inflammatory processes, which is visually observed in the region of the armpits, is implied. Why there? This pathology is directly related to the dysfunction of the sweat glands, and since the latter predominate in the armpits, then the hydradenitis most often becomes aggravated in the above area of the body. After the diagnosis of hydradenitis, treatment should have an individual approach. First of all, it is necessary to understand why hydraenitis is observed, whose causes are most often associated with untidiness, increased sweating, and lack of personal hygiene. However, other indices can cause this pathology, among them the most widespread are weakened immunity and endocrine disorders of the body.

What is the dynamics of pathology? All these pathogenic factors provoke the inflammation of the sebaceous gland, which during anomalous work rapidly increases in size and becomes similar to the cow's udder (hence the common name "bitch udder"). Foci of inflammation can prevail in other parts of the body, bringing to the owner a lot of discomfort and pain that characterize the hydradenitis, the treatment of which should be immediately diagnosed. However, it is first necessary to understand how the hydradenite detects itself, the symptoms of pathology have their own specifics. At an early stage of the disease, during palpation, one can feel single densely compacted knollous nodes that are located in the subcutaneous layer.

Such neoplasms under the skin are accompanied by unpleasant itching and soreness, and it should be noted that such pathogenic "balls" are rapidly growing together, merging together in the thickness of the dermis and acquiring a pear-shaped form. These "tumors" stick out under the skin, which, in turn, swells and has a blue-red hue. With the rapid progression (maturation) of the disease, spontaneous dissection occurs with the release of pus with blood. This phenomenon of hydradenitis is accompanied by general malaise, gradual increase in temperature and painful discomfort. Opening the knots weakens the painful symptoms, but on the body often there are clearly pronounced scars. However, recurrence of the disease is inevitable, because when a disease is detected, hydradenitis, treatment can be very protracted.

When diagnosing "hydradenitis," the treatment has several directions. First of all, it is necessary to treat foci of inflammation with disinfectants and antiseptics. But this does not end there, because when detecting the pathology of hydradenitis, treatment should be supplemented by regular body care and daily hygiene procedures. Also, intensive antimicrobial therapy is prescribed, which includes a complex of antibacterial drugs. At the advanced stage, patients are recommended surgical intervention, which involves the opening and removal of affected areas of tissue, as well as blockage of fistulous strokes. Such surgical manipulations are relevant only in the case when conservative treatment did not yield its expected fruit.

In most cases the outcome of productive treatment is quite favorable, however, it is necessary to understand that a strictly individual approach is required in each clinical case. In addition, it is possible to re-defeat, leading to unwanted relapses, so systematic prevention is required, which includes hygiene, weight control, exclusion of perfumes and cosmetics that have an allergenic effect on the skin. These simple methods will help prevent hydradenitis, the treatment of which is long and painful.
